Sehr einfach ausgedrückt passen Gravitation und Quantenmechanik nicht zusammen, weil unsere mathematische Beschreibung von Gravitation zu kompliziert (nichtlinear) ist. Unsere Quantentheorien haben deutlich simplere Formen, werden aber durch ihre hohe Dimensionalität schwer. Eine Quantisierung der Gravitation, Stichwort Graviton, ist deshalb theoretisch herausfordernd.
