That’s sad to hear. Unfortunately, I’m a non-developer user and I stopped my gorgeously mediocre fic writing career a few years back.
@piefed.social
I realized that this kid was 9 when Trump was first elected. He grew up in this fucked up political environment so no wonder his cohort’s civic knowledge is fucked up. In that sense, I do feel bad for the kid and his whole generation.
I don’t understand why they’re saying the government will provide a high Universal Basic Income when they refuse to pay a fair share of taxes from their wealth or businesses and the the party of fiscal responsibility (/s) is exploding the debt as they do every time they’re in power. Are they thinking a UBI and a Value Added Tax? The numbers will not add up.
The next court up has put that order on hold as of today.
We’re not completely screwed until they replace enough judges. The ones in place are able to slow if not fully prevent many of these abuses, primarily ones where the government has to operate through the judicial branch.
I mean he literally whipped it out in front of journalists and diplomats as a ritualistic display. Let’s not gloss over the shitty aspects of former presidents just to compare them to this president full of shitty aspects.
Things I learned from Red White and Royal Blue.
Then there is the 4th…at least for medical services…costs. If you can’t afford the good insurance, everything costs so much more money. Even adults are putting off exams and preventative care because wallets are being squeezed from all sides.
Yeah….the customers are the problem…not the tariffs, not the auto industries, not the financial industries, not the marketing practices of these companies.
Even people who’ve been doing relatively well have had their costs jacked up even more as we move from income taxes to tariffs. Wages in the bottom have remained stagnant. First time home ownership’s average age is 40. They’ve/We’ve all drank the materialist capitalist kool-aid and it’s hard to take back what control we do have.
Can we add companies and law enforcement agencies that use facial recognition or LPDR that lead to the arrest and long term incarceration of people who are literally in a different state at the time of the crime? I heard of 3 so far who have lost homes, jobs, child custody, etc. These companies should literally pay restitution and to assist the individuals rebuild their lives.
Honestly, Medical care is so expensive I wouldn’t begrudge anyone asking for enough money to cover it and some money to just breathe. Honestly, no one’s medical debt should outlive them.
thanks for using Leebra!
