I accidentally posted this outside the megathread — reposting here to help make life easier for the mods:

Reddit attempting to offer free API usage for moderator tools (but not 3rd Party Apps)

Dude called it noise, lol. Feudalist vibes.

Honestly, if people though spam was getting bad on Reddit before...

I think the Fediverse is an illustration that innovation can thrive without profit motive. Maybe just copying services, picking up the pieces, and moving there is the only reasonable protest anyone can do on the Internet.

In essence, to make one's own website, with blackjack, and hookers.

What's the upper limit on how many companies and industries Microsoft can absorb? I swear to God once we start seeing Bing Chat in cars, I'm done.

"I have working legs, doesn't everybody?" -person online

I also really do not mind donating via Patreon or Ko-Fi or GoobGab or DinkleCoin or ScrungePay or whatever the hell people use that's ethical now.

Mmm, this might be a you problem.

Thanks for approving me! Looking forward to investigating more.

Jerboa shows a lot of promise as an app. Curious to see if any of the major 3PA developers take a swing at the Fedi the way the Twitter ones did.

Yeah, I would not have minded tying using 3PAs to having Reddit Premium. I already pay for Discord Nitro entirely because I spend so much time on that app, and like to support the shit I rely on. I would have easily done it for Reddit to keep my preferred experience. 🤷‍♂️

Breezewood, PA if anyone is curious.

Took me a minute to figure out that it is a yoyo and not a big mechanical bolt, lol.

I have found that their killer app is natural language alarm-setting. something like, "google, set a timer for 30 minutes", and having that timer appear on your phone is handy in the kitchen.

I haven't seen this meme since I was a little boy, 30 years ago.

I feel like replacing Southern Baptist clergy with ChatGPT would be a step-up.

Does it run well on Steam Deck? You may have just sold me on it.

I think this is a fair choice for Beehaw to make, but I am frustrated that now I have less content to read. I wish we had better community discovery tools.

This software is a fucking scourge on the world. We need to switch back to the original cell phones where only one person can use the tower at a time.

Sure. My gaming PC is on Windows 11, and my Deck is on Arch. It seems to work pretty seamlessly in that configuration.

As an additional question, is it possible for me to follow a Mastodon account on Lemmy so it appears as part of my subscribed feed?

In particular I want to follow Never Obsolete (@256)
