Finally a great action from those folks!made my day.

Yeah going for a tilling window manager and expecting to see "A cross icon" to close programs is an indicator here IMO. Don't base your image of what you want your setup to be based on what you see on youtube. If you want something simple that works out of the box I would recommend going to Gnome based system. Easy, everything you ask for it is there and looks good (been using gnome for long time, though now switched back to tilling after pretty much 10 years of gnome cause I felt I need change).
Choose simple distro while still with relatively new packages like fedora or some archlinux clone that makes things easier (can't really advice on that front since I just use arch for like really really long time).
Go for simple stuff and dont feel preasured by your peers that you dont use that awesome tilling manager etc. Go for simple, learn the basics and setup your workflow. Once you feel like experimenting, install another one (fluxbox ftw :P), and venture a bit, while still being able to switch back to gnome (linux allows multiple different evnironments, so why not make a use of it). Most importantly have fun using it!
And this is the most scary part of it. Specially that it isn't just France or Germany but pretty much across the board young people voted for biggest populists out there.
Second hand Renault Zoe user here. I have the model from 2020 with 52kWh battery. Things are pretty ok I think as far as the interior and exterior, but we had major issue with the engine that had to be swapped (good the car was under warranty still in the dealership we bought it from). For the rest it's pretty smooth ride. The range of the car in spring/summer gets to about 350km so its pretty good. The SOH is 91.3%. Ranault's warranty on battery is still active until 2028 or 80 000km or when battery's SOH drops below 75% so for now I am not worried about this. I think once the battery gets low and outside of warranty there will most certainly be more developed infrastructure of third-party battery module maintenance so it should be possible to get the pack to it's original state for not gigantic sums of money.
oh man. this is haven. when I lived in Poland I hated them. after 20years I decided to make them for dinner and ever since I love those. also my family (not Polish) go crazy about it every time I make klusky
Disroot founder here đź‘‹ if you have any questions I would be glad to answer. Been doogfooding all services myself as primary communication means. We are small team of ethusiasts and we mainly reuse code writtem by awesome FLOSS contributors in form of services. Not reinventing wheel here. Next year we will celebrate 10 years of existance \o/
Does it? Also there is so many frontends to choose from and so many other projects. What normal people needs to realize is that they are played and the whole "But there is so much choice" argument is stupid. Imagine going to the shop where there is one type of bread called bread (super easy to use, without crust so people without teeth can chew), one type of milk (cause with bother with people having different preferences), one type of pasta etc. The more choice the better and federated networks offer exactly that. You can walk into the store and choose product you like for whatever reason. But no matter what type of bread you choose, you can still make sandwich. And this whole "W" thing is an easy money grab. Create some media attention, grab VC/European funding and create shitty clone noone will use, then say "Well looks like US corporate offerings are better afterall. Oh look democrats are back".
I'm personally against clonning communities as i think it's largely defragmenting already small communities into seperate little islands. The idea of federation is to create spaces where people can participate together no matter the instance they are from. Creating copies just goes against this idea IMO. One does not need to be on the isntance to participate in communities. That's the beauty of federation. I understand there might be reasons sometimes to do it, but if your idea is to just copy bunch of them so that you're the mod, I find it a waste.
As for disroot's branding of such communities. I think it would require admins to be part of the moderation of such community as it gives others the impression its related or at least supported endorsed by the team. Our idea for the instance was to make it more of a free for all approach then curated set of communities (eg. Beehav). So it makes sense that disroot branded communities are somewhat rated to disroot team or a project. At the same time other communities hosted on the server can use whatever branding they want.
So to sum up my position. I am rather against this idea. Using branding creates association for others. Even if you use disclaimers that it isn't. Since your communities are independent, I would rather see you create a unique branding to your comms so that people seeing them could straight away know who are they moderated and run by.
Thanks for posting. I think it might be connected to recent update we have run and some issues we had couple of days ago. My guess is some custom quick fix on webserver or proxy side that was overwritten with the recent update. I will have a look and try to fix it up the coming days. Thanks for posting. I created an issue on git as well so this doesn't get burried: https://git.disroot.org/...
It's so stupid. Wouldn't doing the same thing but on the bottom of the sea be less expensive, more realistic and with less of an environmental impact? You could cool the machines easier, get power from the water movement and there is plenty of space on the bottom.
Gajim on desktop (love the new ui specially workspaces) and monocles (fork of conversations) on mobile. works great for me and apart of my servers hiccups every now and then as far as the clients go, I have no problems with encryption nor voip calls on the phone.
That's for sure. I plan to print it myself also. Been collecting silk screen printing equipment for some time and I would love to start printing shirts, hoodies, patches and other stuff soon.
Nah. Anxiety is something you have for first month owning your first EV. Once you adjust to the different way of using the car you realize you drive the same way as petroleum car. One important thing is being able to charge at home IMO. Even from just a socket (16A) is sufficient for most daily cases.
Battery size I think here is the difference. Leaf, specially the old ones come with 22kwh battery. My Zoe is 52kWh. Think newer Leafs also come with 52/64kwh packs but are much more expensive then Zoe. At least that was the case when I was researching it when buying a car last year.
thanks for using Leebra!
