Blazin' Bev memes always get a laugh out of me.

They had so much stuff, much of it your could just touch. Armor from the Siege of Constantinople, even part of the chain that was pulled across the Golden Horn. Hittite artifacts too (lots of them), Crsader stuff, some of the bombards used in the Siege. Amazing stuff.

I got super lucky being able to go there. A friend of mine was a new airline pilot, and was able to fly me there for very little. We stayed in a $10/night hostel, and walked everywhere.

The Ottomans sure did know how to make war beautiful. Visiting the Archaeology Museum and Military Myself in Istanbul (many years ago) had tons of stuff like this, and all stunning. I didn't have a camera with me so I have nothing to show for it unfortunately.
