Oh no, you!
There was one episode of Knowledge Fight where they hilighted one single prediction that was 100% accurate, but it was all in a sea of his usual BS that is way off. I don't remember what it was, though.
I don't really choose my travel destinations based on traffic safety.
By the same logic, I should travel to Nigeria as often as I can because there are a lot fewer moose attacks there than where I live.
A single metric should not determine a travel destination
It put me on a path where I did what I liked doing, instead of what I was supposed to do. Today I get paid handsomely for a set of niche skills in IT that are hard to find. If I'd gone the normal route I would probably instead have been confined to being some sort of corporate sysadmin that spends most of the day fixing people's email.
Poverty isn't the only cause of obesity. There have been countless marketing campaigns for sugar, and for those of us who are used to "normal" levels notice it right away; As a European who have spent a lot of time in the US, I find US bread basically inedible.
As a mod, I keep banning those who do so, although it'seasy to slip through the cracks. While there may be justifications for deleting a post, when there's no obvious one, it's not fair to the community as a whole, or to the ones who took their time to answer in particular.
Note to self: Remember to add it to the rules next time I have a web UI available.
Same. Parenthood brings a whole new perspective on bodily fluids.
GF, after gettingback feom the store: "Any reason why my hairbrush is on the floor?"
Me watchingour toddler: "Don't touch, it'sfull of poop!"
GF: ...
I haven't been a digital nomad 17 years, but my usual was:
Short answer: Nothing
Long answer: It is part of a command that deletes everything. The only thing missing is the argument specifying what to delete. Examples:
rm -rf *
rm -rf /some/directory
It's somewhat (in)famous because it'll do so without asking for confirmation. The only exception is rm -rf / on a modern distro which will complain that you're attempting to delete EVERYTHING on the system. In the olden days it'd just do it, but these days it tells you to add --no-preserve-root as well if you really wish to do so.
