It can also run LineageOS, iodéOS and /e/ OS at least, so there are a few options for a degoogled IS with this phone.

The sad things is that has worked for it* in the past, so of course it* will keep on using that strategy.

* I use the pronoun it because I believe in using the correct pronouns for everyone and refuse to address that piece of shit as a human being

Brilliant! It's just a pity the credits ended before getting to the "No future" part, given that this was meant to celebrate the UK's departure from the EU.

the 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant

Georgia Moffett is the IRL daughter of Peter Davison, who played the 5th Doctor

Tennant and Moffet eventually got married

Also the 5th Doctor is the 10th Doctor's IRL step-father

Isn't the 5th Doctor the 10th Doctor's IRL father in law (not stepfather)? Or did I get lost in this labyrinth and miss something?

Brass Against is a rock+brass band that started doing covers of Rage Against The Machine, they also cover other rock and metal acts. Pretty cool.

Why would people with checked luggage need to leave the plane first? They are going to be waiting 20~30 minutes for their suitcase at the conveyor belts. They can't hurry even if they wanted to.

I've seen a couple of articles from earth.com shared lately and they always have this clickbaity sensationalist tone. I don't like it.

Looking at the original publication this article is based on I don't understand much (I'm not a climate scientist myself), but one sentence stands out:

Whether global warming has affected the strength of this overturning circulation over the past century is still debated: observational studies suggest that there has been persistent weakening since the mid-twentieth century, whereas climate models systematically simulate a stable circulation.

The climate models we all know and predict how climate change will affect us all seem to work on the basis that these currents have a stable circulation that doesn't change, which doesn't seem to be the case. Therefore the climate models we've known until now might be wrong... and things could be even worse.

I keep reading this complaint every time FairPhone releases a new model, and it's nonsense. The millions of people who didn't buy a FairPhone 5 in the last 2 years are not going to buy a 2 year old model when they need a new phone in 2 months.

You bought a FairPhone 5 or 4 in the last 4 years? Keep it and don't buy a FairPhone 6, you don't need it.

You didn't buy a FairPhone and your current phone is dying? Then you have a modern FairPhone and don't need to decide between a FairPhone with old specs or an up-to-date phone that is not repairable.

No, please. I NEVER want a computer to take a decision for me (like save or discard changes). I turned off auto saving on Microsoft Office on my work computer after I unknowingly made some changes in a presentation from another team I was just looking at, and it saved those changes without my knowledge nor consent.

I work with several screens, have several windows of different programs open and, unfortunately, sometimes a keystroke doesn't go where I thought I was sending it (I'm probably getting old). Also sometimes windows from a different program come to focus unannounced and capture whatever you were typing or clicking.

With a bit of effort you can stream any movie directly to your TV for a few moneys a month (or free, but paying for the essential bits removes the jankiness)

Something I learned back in the day: "Never pay for warez". Pirate all you want, the moment you are paying, pay the creator of the product you're interested in, not someone who pirated it and wants to profit from distributing it without a licence.
