Its impressive on a few fronts. Suggesting he's an ally to the lqbtqia+ community while dirting health care for a vulnerable population of that group. Managing to infantilize women while proposing a completely imagined threat.

There can't be that many voters who want to go blue but are hung up needing to bathroom bills too are there?

She's that generation of old anti nuke tankie leftists. She caters too much to the anti vax anti science crowd. She's not evil, but I'm super tired of her existing with such a high profile and not making any material changes happen in the world. She completely gave up on being an elected official in Massachusetts, and if she cant win there, what is she doing? She's not moving any balls forward, its just a proto-influencer on an endless press tour.

edit: but yeah, this is just a trumped up charge for press, and im pretty sure she's pumped for the coverage

Empowering brendan car is pretty bad. Stopping wind solar projects also bad. Eroding public trust in the election system. Kidnapping a foreign leader. Trying to replace the UN, a thing we already control with a thing only trump controls. Tearing down part of the whitehouse with zero planning or permission to fix it. Running a crypto bribery grift. Telling people Tylenol and vaccines cause autism. Shitting his pants and sleeping in public meetings. Accepting a 400 million dollar plane he's going to gift his personal charity when he's out of office.

I can't pick one. The dude sucks. I eagerly await his obituary or prison sentence.

Stallman eats things off his feet, is a terminal creep around women, and a terrible songwriter. But he's been correct about software licensing, how companies will use and abuse Free software, and enormously consistent about it over the years.

So yeah, he kinda sucks, but when he talks about licensing and freedom, I listen.

It is bad. But its sooooo on fucking brand. If there isn't some "respected body" to suggest what you did is bad, then you did nothing wrong. He doesn't hate climate science past it stops him from doing what he wants. But if you can frame it in a way that motivates people against him (less fisheries means less sport fishing, less wild areas means less hunting, no snap benefits means more crime) you nip away at his base, and he doesnt have a ton of support. its marginal vs the voting public, even in midterms.

Crash. In high school my buddy brought out all the weird horror and b-movies he could find, including crash, a movie about people who get busy after dangerous or injurious automobile incidents. Cut to a few years later, when my friend's parents are telling me a how they thought crash was so powerful and everyone should see it, and how it was nominated for a bunch of oscars, I was completely perplexed.

I'm going to sound like a hater, but the food in season and local is what you should be eating, and that will always be the cheapest. If you're talking processed food brands and shit in boxes in the middle of the store, I'd argue none of it is worth the extra money, its all bad for you, stop. That said, the frozen arby's curley fries are bomb, and no one does cheesey things like cheetos or smartfood.

I don't think theres any amount of scientific study thats going to change the loud minority of people who are anti transitioning. They would look at this study and see that the brainwashing is complete, and "they" could do it to anyone, and the people studied aren't to be trusted.

The only evidence I need to support the medical consensus is to see that suicidal ideation rates are lower in people who transition that have gender dysphoria, and the handful of sad boys I knew who are now happy girls post transition.

Osha always talks about how its not the first mistake that kills you, and I think in the case of home electrical, leaving a panel energized while your hands are in it, would count as number 1.

Except it's not, he thinks he's consistent. Far left and far right are a matter of perspective, and from where he sits, far left is trying to not deadname someone, starting a union, or progressive taxation. His far right is somewhere past suggesting gas chambers for social deviants.

Y'all wilding out. Uber, lyft, AAA - those are paid services. If your car is randomly breaking down in a parking lot, you probably don't have a lot of money, people with money don't drive unreliable cars. I mean sure, maybe they left the dome light on for hours, but I doubt it.

Yes its insane you can't find affordable housing close to stores. Yes needing a car sucks.

I have mixed feelings on this. Multiple family members worked in public schools, and a lot of kids want garbage processed foods. They know and like fruit loops and gold fish. They also like tomatoes and fresh fruit sometimes, but sometimes they just want comfort foods. I fully support healthy options and funding school lunches to the point they are delicious and nutritious, but you gotta meet some of these kids where they are, not where you want them to be.

Anyone who figured out messaging beyond "Look how bad Trump is, even Bush republicans won't vote for him" probably wins that election. No one had a broad vision to latch for sale, and no one did anything inspiring.

Did all "nazis" actively do crimes against humanity? Whats the bar they have to hit to be a nazi? Put on a uniform? shoot a roma? say non-aryans are sub human? You want to draw a bright line between national socialists and racists, I'm not going to stop you, but I think nazi is just short hand for bootlicking people who enable the dehumanizing of others at this point in time.

What word would you prefer?

They are sooooo close. Yes, our system of health care, which requires private partnerships that need to profit is the problem. And, the current party in power is exacerbating that issue. Theses people can be brought into the fold if you don't spend your time doing victory laps for being right. End of the day they are still humans that deserve health care, regardless of if they voted "wrong".

I'm in the states, but it's the same here. Success and thriving is the autistic kid not being disruptive to their classmates. So for now, our kid is homeschooled. We're lucky enough to not have to expose him to being overwhelmed 40 hours a week. Maybe he'll try again in a few years, but for now, stay at home mom is killing it.

Theres an impedance mismatch in expectations, I'm expecting my owed publicly provided education, but they are providing* trauma inducing childcare.

That said, I get it. The school departments aren't set up or funded for individualized education plans, if they were we'd be in a much better position. They are setup for take care of the fat part of the curve of students, and identify and neutralize disruptions. If classes were closer to a 1 to 5 ratio, if teachers were given more control, it could be different. If educators got more than a handful of 1 hour seminars on sped needs, pda, sensory issues, they would certainly handle it better.

Rad! Enjoy the success high, but you're going to want to keep chasing that dragon. Don't be bummed if it fails to work a second time. They adapt, and sometimes they are having a bad day and even the coolest uncle will hit a wall.

Helpful things for bath:

  • toys that squirt water
  • bath bombs with toys inside
  • the drawing / painting stuff you mentioned
  • hand mirrors for seeing themselves covered in suds
  • cups and buckets for moving water around
  • suction cup toys for the walls (water spout things, marble race courses, etc)

Also, if you're new to working with kids, timers that visually count down (not digital, ones that have a colored wheel of how much time is left) are helpful for starting / ending tasks. Also tricks like betting them they cant wash their own hair, or you can finish a bath before the end of the timer can work well. And on nice days with a rain shower, go soap up out side. do it with them. clean off from the hose, they love it.

you're doing great! keep it up!
