Do you confuse the President with your husband?!?
@lemmy.world
On June 26, 2026, Swedish left-wing newspaper Flamman reported that founder and co-owner of Mullvad Daniel Berntsson had made a five million Swedish krona (~$500,000 USD) personal donation to the populist Örebro Party. (Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/...)
Said political party support far-right policies such as so-called "ethnic cleansing".
This can't be real???
Trump: 'Even though I have the resources to help you, and they're right here, if you were literally dying and I didn't need those resources at all, then I would just let you die.'
MAGA: 'Woo! Yes please daddy.'
Like, we know he doesn't care about his voters but seriously?
What I don't get is people will say "pizza is too hard, i'm going back to Lasagne [to get my fix of tomato]" but they don't make their own Lasagne, they get it delivered (analogy is breaking down at this point).
So, they should just ask their delivery guy (computer installer) to get the sauce and put it on their pizza (computer), or they should buy a pizza (computer with linux on) just like they bought the lasagne (computer with Windows OS on).
Every mainstream Linux distro - Ubuntu, Fedora, PopOS, Debian, whatever {probably even Lineage though that is for phones!} - has a "live USB" image. You download Linux, put it on a USB drive using an app (Rufus, Balena Etcher, ...). Then you reboot your computer so that it uses the USB drive to boot from. You now have a Linux system that can access all of your Windows files.
If you like it, then you can usually acquire a second hard drive and install Linux on there. Microsoft did succeed in making this harder, and breaking it occassionally through the vehicle of SecureBoot.
If you can install Windows from scratch, then you'll find Linux easy and quick. If you can't then you need to seek the same help, eg find a person who will do it for you, or buy hardware with Linux on already.
Well, he doesn't have to be deposed, but then he doesn't have to continue with a frivolous lawsuit intended to attempt to intimidate foreign press.
Lots of things he could do ... stop committing war crimes, stop stealing from USA citizens by front-running stocks, stop breaching the former Constitution, stop voter interference, stop using his private militia to murder people, ... you get the idea.
Fwiw, CPUs/GPUs use 128bit wide buses (eg 4060, I think) and wider. So you're kinda there already.
64-bit here refers to the size of the general purpose registers; but wider (larger) registers are common too in chips that are still referred to as x86_64.
Apparently true, this one passed me by. So, Trump says he'll deport a third of the country but those same people he said he would deport still won't vote against him. USA has gone insane.
WSL, you install it from the Windows Store.
Debian, for example, https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9msvkqc78pk6 .
Just so you know, they didn't provide a straw man argument (which is necessarily a weakened position[hence straw]), they provided a statement of fact. Source: degree study in logic and philosophy.
You could respond that you found the fact irrelevant, but it seemed apposite and insightful to me.
I knew pedantic idiots like you would conflate the word “generic” with with the legal term “generic trademark.”
You mean people who know trade mark law would challenge your incorrect use of generic. There's no such thing as a "generic trademark", fwiw, though I realise you're unwilling to learn.
I can’t open a shop at the State Fair and trademark “turkey legs” because I’m selling shoes that look like turkey feet
Yh, you've still got it wrong. You 100% can do this, because a trade mark applies in a trading category (except for 'famous' marks). So Apple Music can have a trade mark of "Apple" for selling goods in the music category (famously infringed by Apple Computers), etc., but cannot have a trade mark for selling things with the mark Apple that covers fruit sales, say; because "Apple" is not distinctive in that field of industry. Actually applications are in something called a Nice class (though AIUI there is a specific classification USPTO use that is narrower than the international Nice class).
There's a close example to your "turkey leg" - for 6 years "ham hock" (ie pig leg) was a registered trade mark, https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/.... Why was it allowed? Well because it was for a board game, class 028, and so didn't stop people from selling actual ham hocks.
I'm not 100% on trade marks in USA, but "confusion" in trade mark law usually has a specific test before the law that is not the same as merely requiring that consumers be confused. Like genericisation, confusion does not have its common meaning when discussing trade marks.
I don't know ... they followed the obviously illegal orders to go to war without congressional approval. They betrayed their oath to the constitution and favored Trump instead. Getting stiffed by Trump, as everyone expects of Trump, seems hardly something we should care about. Trump called them suckers, they chose to turn their backs on USA and follow Trump. It is of course sad when anyone gets hurt, but being willing participants in an unlawful and unjust war that is only about moving the stock market to make Trump rich ... when Trump has betrayed the constitution practically every day ...
I mean, add it to the large pile of constitutional violations the Trump regime have made. They need to be made to care. As the military kow-towed to them without even a pause, violating their sworn oath, there's not much left but the thinnest of remnant of rule of law.
"He can't be arsed to work, he's just like me! I am so voting for him as PM!!"
Sadly, this sort of idiocy wins votes. Farage's whole political career has been about avoiding doing any work, claiming excessive expense repayments, and pretending that it's a political position.
To be fair Dolphin's defaults are insane, they seemed to have approached it as 'how can we allow file/folder navigation but hide as much information as possible'. If you're a minimalist you might like it, if you want to use a file manager to manage files I can't really see how the defaults are useful.
Gwynedd tried to do over the English crown when they were already paying fealty, they quickly killed enough people across the rest of the Welsh counties to take control of most of them and set themselves against the English Crown, refusing to pay. So the English armies had to come and sort them. Gwynedd's actions effectively subdued Wales ... why anyone in the rest of Wales thinks this meant Wales was unified I'm not sure. Falling in behind the Northeners [of Wales], who it seems had Irish/Norse as their leaders, rather than falling in behind England when it was those North Walians that came around killing all our people ... it's weird to me.
Also, Welsh people ruled Britain (the Tudors), which is more than any English people {with long-established families from mainland Britain} have done since before the Norman Conquest. Again I don't get how the Scots and the Welsh moan about the English when both of them had a good go of ruling Britain (since 1066) and no English people have.
Anyway, if you're going to add this Welsh flag, which is really not old, why would you not first add the flags of Britons in the counties that were combined before the Normans took full control - Northumbria or Wessex or wherever. Mind you, you might still end up with a dragon/wyvern (viper).
thanks for using Leebra!
