Yet Another Yellow Warbler Only This One's Wearing a Hat looks baffle-gasted

@2ugly2live

"i shouldn't have to pick up my own food, where are the parents"-- deeply embittered Northern Cardinal fledgling

PS-- nice shot

@snlug

"i would have laughed if you told better jokes"-- grimly serious Laughing Falcon, probably

(PS- love these birbs!)

@yyprum @DigitalAudio

Eurasian Tree Sparrow is the full common English name of this species

there are 2 large groups of sparrows, Old World & New World, your Eurasian Tree Sparrow is an Old World Sparrow while American Tree Sparrow is a New World Sparrow that is not too closely related

so... yes ... there are MANY kinds of sparrows + to add more confusion, non birders sometimes call any small brownish bird a sparrow

my ❤️ !!!!!!

@GlassHalfHopeful @Peanutbuttergrits

not sure where they saw it, but if i saw it around here, i'd call it as Common Grackle

they do have that amount of brown but it's a play of light type of thing where most of the time they just look like an all-over black bird until the light is striking their plumage at the right angle
