En pysty heti sanomaan, mikä tuossa kirjoituksessa vaivaa? Aika pitkälti se sisältää sellaista vanhaa ”viisautta” että ”nyt vaan lisää kuria ja kaikki modernit höpönlöpöt pois” -asennetta. Ja ehkä tuossa vaivaa myös se, että jotenkin Taten ja Petersonin mainitseminen tekevät kirjoituksesta omissa silmissäni melkein satiirin. Kyseisen henkilöt kuitenkin tarjoamat miehille aika paljon muutakin (ei niin hyvää), joka erityisesti puhuttelee heikommassa tilanteessa olevia (ja vähän kiukkuisempia). Ehkä nämä ovat varoittavia esimerkkejä siitä, jos ilmiöön ei kiinnitetä parempaa huomiota…?

Se ei liene epäselvää, etteikö (sopivasti) vaativan isän/mentorin olemassaolo olisi tärkeä, mutta mielestäni ongelmana on, se että ympäristöstä tulee niin paljon signaaleja, jotka ovat ristiriidassa niiden vaatimuksien kanssa; miksi täyttäisin vaatimuksia, jotka näyttävät yhtä sattumanvaraisilta ja epävarmoilta kuin ympäröivä maailma?

Mutta miksi internetin varaisät onnistuvat olemaan niin motivoivia? Ainakin kirjoituksen esimerkkien tyyppisillä varaisillä on se, että ne luovat kärjityksillä yksinkertaisemman maailmankuvan, jossa vaatimuksien toteuttaminen johtaa selkeämmin johonkin. Ja samaisessa maailmankuvassa mahdollisille ongelmille löytyy syyllinen, jota voi ja saa vihata. Ja jos suhde ei toimi, niin varaisän voi vaihtaa kuin lelun uuteen.

Mielestäni se, mitä nuoret miehet tarvisevat, ei ole suoranaisesti vaatimuksia, vaan selkeyttä maailmaan. Ja se selkeys pitäisi olla jotain todellisempaa kuin internetin varaisien luomien kuplien näennäinen selkeys.

To add, e.g. reddit took years to become a great platform and it also degradation takes years, as the alternatives will also take years to build. Although some of the issues will probably follow too unless addressed some way. I don’t think the federation is a silver bullet but I’m hopefull that it’s a big step forward.

I think people are downvoting the fact that you are insisting the "...incendiary weapons such as the above...", when the weapon is not in fact an incendiary, also according to UN Convention

I think we could adopt the (seemingly) well working list of allowed sources from /r/liverpoolfc. It's not really an issue yet but eventually will be, so why not be proactive and not reinvent the wheel. And thanks for getting the community started!
