Exactly. None of the cloud-based LLMs are impartial on politics.

Didn't GoPro start requiring online activation of their cameras a while back? Like customers couldn't use it out of the box until they installed the smartphone app and activated it?
Edit: Looks like GoPro did try doing it by using dark patterns first and then getting more aggressive.
The one and only time i did a multiplayer game with voice chat with strangers, they were sexist assholes. Never again.
Now, any multiplayer games I play are with friends only, or are games that don't need chat.
I play almost exclusively single player games.
Attacks like that don't just happen in a vacuum.
Right, they happen when entitled motor vehicle drivers feel disrespected. The cyclist may have even done something stupid beforehand that put everyone in that car in danger.
But it almost certainly doesn't matter, because there is almost nothing that cyclist could have possibly done that would justify the violence in that video.
I think that's why no one here seems to care.
My mind has been changed by comments on here.
People can be quite informative, patient, and empathetic. They can write eloquently and persuasively. I'm glad for those people who have helped me change my mind on topics where my view was wrong because of my ignorance or flawed logic.
But in all honesty, I probably would have been better served by in-person public discourse on those topics instead of spending my time reading a bunch of takes from strangers on the internet. In person, you (usually) know everyone participating is real. You can gauge their sincerity by their tone & inflection, facial cues, and body language.
While my mind has been changed by people on here commenting, I still would much rather step away from the internet and talk to people face to face about the topics that effect us the most.
This stuff is why I don't comment much on Lemmy.
Same. I used to post more, under previous accounts, calling out sexism and misogyny on Lemmy when I saw it. But when my simple, respectful posts calling out toxic behavior got more downvotes than upvotes, I decided it wasn't worth my time to try and change the collective thinking on Lemmy.
In that case, you are asking it a question you don't know the answer to, and the answer could be wrong. You might have the knowledge to know when the output isn't factual and reprompt it, or you may not always know when the output isn't factual; the potential detriment to you probably isn't so much cognitive, it's potentially wasting your time, money, supplies and labor on an incorrect answer, or worse, leaving the customer to deal with bad service or worksmanship from an incorrect answer.
Please reconsider the brother in christ phrase.
It's problematic, because even if you don't mean anything by it, it still normalizes and perpetuates christianity at a time when christian nationalism and Dominionism are on the rise and have taken over the US government. It also assumes the person you are talking to is also christian. Third, it reinforces patriarchy by assuming the person you are talking to is male.
I have no idea how it caught on and become popular, but I'm hoping that with a little self-reflection, we can all move away from it.
There is both. When people are more afraid of embarrassment, they'll 'waste' their lives, never doing what they really want to do.
When people are more afraid of wasting their lives [than of being embarrassed], they'll actually live them, even though they may still feel embarrassment for being socially awkward, saying the 'wrong' thing, or whatever else their fears of embarrassment stem from.
Once you watch actual real footage of what happened to people in history when nuclear weapons were used on them, you will never again jokingly or seriously advocate for their use.
The effects of nuclear weapons are a cruelty I didn't fully understand until I saw it.
Edit: I am in no way condoning what Israel has done.
Second edit: Fuck all you bloodthirsty sociopathic downvoters. What the actual fuck.
The CEO did an interview on The Verge with Nilay Patel and refused to say that he would take Nazi content off the platform, taking an 'absolute free-speech, nothing is censored' approach.
The common sentiment is that refusing to take down Nazi content makes one complicit and supportive of Nazis.
But I have no idea how many nazis post on Substack.
