I honestly cannot understand how someone can just Drink a bottle of water and then... toss it overboard? Like, I really can't comprehend littering, it just doesn't make sense.

I really do not understand extremely long cars. Like, maybe it's just my Euro mind speaking, but isn't the whole point of EVs clean and affordable short distance (for now) urban/city transport? How does the city part pair with a 5 meter long car?? And anyways, I hate the push for EVs under the guise that they should be used in cities - urban transportation should be done by public transport or alternative means, such as bikes and walking. Swapping usual cars for EVs doesn't solve anything except for getting rid of the smoke pollution, which, ok, I admit, is not bad at all, but still...
One of the most beautiful bees I've ever seen, photographed somewhere in the Banat region in south-eastern Europe
I hate how disconnected we became from art by making the Artist a job or a classification. You have countless examples from the past of people participating in the Sacred of their daily lives, reveling in Mystery and creating art, but somewhere along the line, something was lost, and art became a product just like anything else, instead of a manifestation of emotion and counciousness that anyone could part take in. We need to eliberate Art again, to discover that lost Mystery that helped create all these beautiful pieces. Somehow, I don't know...
I picked some today for the first time and maybe I was just very clumsy but it felt like they were very fragile and easy to squish, but reallly well fixed to the tree, so you had to put in some effort to pull the fruit apart. But again, it was my first time, maybe there was a problem with my strategy. Also, they're very small and you have to pick LOTS of them. Right now I'm thinking on whether to dry them for tea or make a jam -- either way I can't wait!
Ohhh, thanks, I'll check them out for sure!!
I would add that esoterism in art is, I think, implied by default. Art as I see it is an extension of the Hidden and the Sacred, and it always has been.
We wonder in amazement at works of popular art in museums - clothes, woodwork objects, jewelry - and we consider them art. Yet they were simple objects of personal use, created by ordinary people. However, there's a second layer beneath that, and that's where the spiritual side comes into play. Most of these objects had meaning and a certain spiritual value. They were, usually, something that required huge amounts of effort, and that lead to the sense of imbuing the object with a part of the spirit of the person. There were also other hidden meanings - the symbols and decorations, usually passed on by way of tradition, without making sense of their actual meaning, contained that very mistery of a deeper... something: a message, a meaning, an invocation, a prayer.
We can now analyse and quantify that. We can isolate the sun-wheel on so many European folk dresses, we can explain its origins, we know more about it and its meaning than the very craftspeople that created them - but for us it holds no other value than purely decorative and scientific. We look at it and think its pretty, just a bunch of intresting motifs.
It's this rupture that causes that feeling of lost artistry, I think. Even when approaching art, we tend to open our critical eye first - why did the author take that certain stylistic choice? Who was the author, what inspired him, what message is he trying to send? It's a purely analytical view that lets us quantify art and place a value on it, whatever that value may be - money, cultural importance, political message etc. But this destroyed the inherent feeling of mistery as pertaining to beauty and art, and that's what's lost and has to be regained.
Afaik it was not documented that much in Romania, although iNaturalist shows a couple of sparse observations. Would it be considered an invasive?
oh, then I suppose I had the different idea about it, didn't think about it that way:D
I'm trying to do my research on starting an indoor planting/farm project, but it's hard to account for the colder climate situation of the place I'm living in right now))))) I guess this reply is also a call for help if anyone knows some comprehensive wiki or guide I could use to find some suitable plants. It's hard being in the city hahah, I miss my homestead...
yea it's stupid, if you can afford it, fines become something of a paid subscription to do illegal stuff, or at least this is a lot of companies' mentality
Even in remote areas without lots of industrial farming activity I can't help but notice a (anecdotal, I must admit) reduction in small birds, especiall sparrows, and an increase in mosquito numbers. But yeah, keep on ploughing thousands of hectares just for grain, it's going to work out just great!
i would add the toilets as separate notes, at least that's the most fast forward way to do it
solar zepplins
maybe it's just a dream but I really hope it happens at one point in the future..
afaik Mistral runs mostly on renewables and nuclear, I don't see the problem here
