If Discord is going to be abandoned by people, I wish we'd go back to proper forums that's much more accessible and searchable. Continuing down this road is just going to lead to the continued burying of useful information behind these services.

That's not the point they're trying to make I think. It's more of an attack on perfection. Like "the alternative is not perfect either so why not just stay with Chrome". It's not a very strong argument in general but it might be enough to keep people from switching.
Eh this is nothing new since the biometrics portion has been part of the process for a few years. The only new part is that now you can skip the passport. The terrifying portion had already arrived many years ago unfortunately.
As someone living in Asia, the US losing influence is a really scary thing. China has been increasing their aggression in the region and the US's presence has always been the counter to that. It was a good balance but a weaker US will tip the balance to China's favour. Not to mention that the US has been a key factor in getting Korea and Japan to work together on security matters. Unfortunately, there's no EU or NATO equivalent for us to rely on.
Apple said EVERYBODY MAKE ARM APPS NOW, and compatibility problems lasted a year. Not ten years.
Because Apple's priority has never been legacy support and backwards compatibility but Microsoft's whole business model and key advantage with Windows is legacy support and backwards compatibility. It's a different beast when you're marketing to the enterprise instead of personal users.
Seems like an unpopular opinion but I actually like the Far Cry formula. It's the same gameplay loop with different maps and weapons and that's all I really ask for because I know what I'm getting is something that I know I enjoyed and will enjoy. I don't play Far Cry to experience some innovative gameplay, there's other games I look to for that.
I already wasn't a fan of the changes to Far Cry 6 and these changes don't seem like a Far Cry game anymore so I'm a bit disappointed if these are true.
