I hate the moronic way in which Trump speaks. It's such a waste of everyone's time and energy.

Nobody actually listens to Trump speak because our brain cells don't recover as fast as they die off trying to make sense of what comes out of his fat mouth.

I hate it almost as much as I hate Dr. Brain Worm speak. RFK Jr always sounds like he's got the world's collective phlegm stuck in his throat when he speaks.

I had a chat with someone recently who said "I'm right-leaning, but I'm starting to miss Biden..." and I asked:

"Why are you right-leaning?"

And it's like they short-circuited right in front of me.

Normally, they hit me back with misguided claims that Republicans are good for the economy, or that they are fiscal conservatives, or something about Russia or China-- but we are both tax accountants and we understand very intimately how fucked the US economy really is, while coping with the reality that our retirement savings are pretty much gone and unlikely to recover.

Sometimes, they'll say something about immigration. However, some of our best team members self-deported due to the threat of forceful deportation on their families, so things are really bad at our public accounting firm and getting worse as people burn out from the increased work loads.

Or on occasion, they'll spout some platitudes about the US Constitution, Veterans, or All-American values, but obviously Republicans do not give a fuck about any of that.

So finally they splutter:

".. traditions are important to me."

And I'm like, "What kind of traditions?"

And they say:

"... Easter and Christmas."

In my opinion, people that consider themselves right-leaning simply like to complain and complain and complain about things they do not bother to educate themselves about, while fully expecting everyone else to look out for them when they are actively sabotaging every effort made to improve our nation.

This is the Republican modus operandi:

"This is the fantasy we want to believe. And if the facts do not support our fantasy, we will accuse you of lying to us and call for your death."

You ever notice there's zero birds or wildlife in these places?

It's all the pesticides and herbicides.

There was even an article a while back that living next to a golf course had a really high correlation with developing neurological diseases.

Lol, I worked for one these assholes once. He bought the small public accounting firm I started my career at.

He loved to go on and on about "business is a warzone, you must be ruthless" bullshit, liked to make it really hard to get any PTO approved or obtain new hires.

Before he came along, I had built an entire database for that business even though my job role did not require it, simply because I got tired of doing things the stupid way and the previous owner made it worth my while.

One day, the asshole new owner pissed me off when I asked for time off to go camping and denied it citing business first, so I simply resigned on the spot and took off to the mountains. He was like "you can't fault me for putting the business first" and I was like "whatevs, I'm putting myself first".

Stupid motherfucker called me all week, dozens of times each day, because nobody but me knew how the fuck you build and maintain a database.

My coworkers, who are still my friends to this very day ten years later because they are awesome, regaled me with tales of the clusterfuck that ensued after my departure. Turns out, it's really hard to find someone with an accounting and a computer science degree.

I still cackle to this day.

If you happened to have an unusually high IQ, why you would you choose to join Mensa, or be a moderator on Reddit for that matter?

The smartest thing you can do is obfuscate your level of intelligence, not brag about it. That's just how you end up doing more work and getting blamed by everyone around you.

At the last protest, I embraced a crying queer young adult for over an hour, because they were completely beside themselves.

They had a mental breakdown because they didn't even realize they were living with so much stress and fear these past few months.

And when they finally summoned the courage to show up to their very first protest in their young life, they SO relieved that so many people CARED about that happened to them that it completely overwhelmed them.

So please and kindly, shut the fuck up.

Cacao is a national treasure, and America floods Mexico with Hershey's, Snickers, and other subpar "chocolate" and destroys local competition with cheap prices.

Fun fact:

The word "chocolate" is derived from the Nahuatl word Xocholatl (chikola-tl).

The fuck is with these comments?

If you are having difficulties parsing a situation, or deciding what the right thing to do or say is, ask yourself:

What would SpiderMan do or say?

These times call for courage to stand up for what is right, not cynicism or defeatist attitudes. And this mofo is being courageous AF-- witness him!

And you all better find the courage to do the same yourself, instead of waiting in fear hoping someone will fix things before the Nazis come for you too.

Ain't nobody coming to help. It's all up to us!

If ya don't know where to start, start by joining the protests so you can connect with other community organizing efforts. Everybody counts!

Bro, Republicans ain't sending NOBODY to study.

These athletes got in through their own hard work. Even if isn't entirely academic, they are still learning about macros, nutrition, and the human body.

Republicans want people to be uneducated and stupid, because those are the type people who vote against their own best interests.

There's been quotas and monitoring at every single one of my jobs, and all they do is alienate the talented staff and leaves the loyal morons & the money-driven behind.

The last two firms I worked at are still desperately begging me to come back, three years after I resigned, because the ship is rapidly sinking since their AI replacement strategy did not plan out.

I just resigned my latest position, and I'm gonna take a week or two to get back into making art and music, and then I'm going to take my talent and energy to the organizations fighting back against fascism.

I hold nothing but compassion and solidarity for those who follow.

I want things to be easier for them, not as hard or harder than they were for us.

Story:

Just had a really painful conversation with my Boomer in-laws. They refuse to see acknowledge how bad things are for us and blame us for our failure to thrive like they got to, after receiving a six-figure cash injection back in the 80s from their parents, which is all gone now with their frivolous spending.

I don't get it.

So you tried everything, and nothing worked. So what is next?

I feel like the validation of pessimistic feelings is a slippery slope because one may inadvertently validate the defeatist thoughts behind those emotions.

I try to ask "What do you think you should do, then?" and more often than not, it's some sort of ambiguous capitulation. Like there's a desire to just dwell in the hole they are trapped in, and it can be difficult to have patience.

Trump: TARIFFS ON EVERYTHING

Market: * crashes *

Trump: * acquires crashed stock at bargain prices *

Trump: LOL JUST KIDDING. TARIFFS PAUSED!

Market: * rallies, because full of gambling addicts *

Trump: * realizes massive gains on acquired stock *

Is that clearer, or are you choosing to continue to participating in your own destruction?

Bernie and AOC are the only two representatives that have ever gotten me so fired up that I'm signing up for phone banking & door knocking even though that's like the last fucking thing I wanna do in my free time.

I am even hate calling my state representatives and telling them to just do what AOC says because clearly she's got the biggest balls in the room and actually understands what her job is-- fighting for the people she represents, not corporate interests.

Lol, did we work at the same place?

"Empty suits" it's the realest statement.

I resigned my position because I couldn't take it anymore. I told leadership that I refuse to use my skills and talents for those who I do not respect, and they responded by saying that there was a lot of money on the line.

They can fucking keep it. Fucking ghouls.
