From the article:
$100,000 per day for a country with ~5.4 million people is a lot. If even 20 percent used Facebook regularly, then that would still be 10 cents per user per day. It's unlikely that Meta is generating so much profit per user - every day.
This is a reasonable observation and I wonder what Meta would do once one of their services becomes unprofitable in a specific country. Anyway if you add Instagram and WhatsApp to the math, maybe they would still generate profits from the Norwegian userbase
Correct. It's from https://fedidb.org/, if you scroll down the main page you can find the Software User Distribution pie
Camera: GrapheneOS's camera app. Have been my camera of choice ever since I've discovered it. Never had an issue, offers all the basic features you would expect from a camera
Meta: just making sure that anyone that reads this comment is aware of the existence of Obtainium!
Obtainium allows you to install and update Apps directly from their releases pages, and receive notifications when new releases are made available.
At my company we have been using AI very heavily to write code lately, and if that sentence was used to justify a 10k+ diff, whoever wrote it/vetted the change would have their access to the codebase revoked
I don't think those comments are generated and posted automatically by a bot plugged to their github repo. I think they are generated by the author using an LLM and copy-pasted there - or if the account is plugged to some LLM, they are at least manually reviewed. The answer to the replied-to comment are posted from 10 minutes to some hours later. I don't think they lost their mind to the point of giving unvetted access to their reputable account to an AI that simply posts for them. That said, they could al least strip the obvious/uneasy parts that give very LLM vibes, specifically those quoted in the op
Same thing in Italy. We act like our traditional dishes are something we've been eating for centuries while almost all of them became a thing after WWII, during the economic boom, when a lot of people became able to afford a larger variety of ingredients, the cold chain became efficient, and we started to import recipes and food from foreign countries, and anyway the original and popular version of some classics was completely different from what we eat today and consider traditional. It is still true that many dishes are peculiar of our traditional cousine, but the way we act about it is just patriotic nonsense. Pasta itself might be historically considered more of an us italian-american thing than an italian dish
From the blogpost:
This doesn't take a single cent away from a creator's YouTube earnings. When you watch a YouTube video through Odysee, they still get paid. We're not here to hurt the people making the content, we're here to give you a better way to watch it.
So, how is this going to work? Is it going to be just an iFrame, and Odysee will let you locally subscribe to youtube channels and search for youtube content?
I use letterboxd for everything but reviews (I never read them unless they are from friends), and I love it. The user experience is just great. The webapp is lightweight, looks cool but isn't cluttered or unnecessarily fancy. I'm provided the relevant information I care about right where I would expect it to be. I sound like a shill, but I enjoy their website a lot :D
I don't like coke, but I do like ketamine so I can describe my "snorting setup." The ketamine I buy usually comes in needles and not sugar, so I have a little ceramic mortar I use to turn it into thin powder so it's easier to snort and does less damage to your nose (not sure whether this can be done with coke or not). Once I've turned it into thin powder, I pour it into a small 1.5 ml vial that I bring with me. I also have a snuff, highly suggested. When I want to hit I simply rotate the vial upside-down, and then I gently open it in a way that leaves some ketamine on the cap. Luckily my snuff fits perfectly the cap so I can simply snort what's in there with it. Possibly multiple times based on how much k I want to do.
I highly suggest to use vials instead of plastic bags. They do not break and it's easier to dose your hits. If I want to do a line instead of snorting from the cap, I simply open the vial and "tap-tap" out the k I want to do, or even better I use the cap to dose how much ketamine I want to do. And I snort it with the snuff (highly suggested too, definitely gentler on your nostrils than paper or straws). Anyway, if you pour too much, it's definitely harder to put it back in the vial, so I usually carry my vials in a small plastic bag lol just in case I need to pour some powder back in.
Also I have a square metal box the size of a large coin where I sometimes keep the powder, and a very tiny spoon that perfectly fits into a nostril that I use to grab some powder and snort it. They're handy and cool but I don't always bring them with me. By far my favorite way to consume ketamine is vial + snuff + line on the phone
The activity is being served a meal, not being served a meal with the ingredients you want. It looks like you're intentionally driving the conversation toward a useless semantics debate. Nobody's left out from a cafeteria serving plant-based food only.
oh yeah this definitely counts against the good things about christmas :D I live in a relatively rich part of Italy where shoplifting is very rare, and if you're not wearing "suspicious" clothes (eg. clothes that might suggest that you're poor), if the store is crowded and the staff is busy and you make the anti-theft sensors ring while crossing them, they likely won't even question why they are ringing and just assume an anti-theft tag wasn't properly removed during checkout. when I was a kid I've stolen sooo many videogames this way during christmas season, my parents where just too good looking to the staff that nobody ever suspected a thing lol
thanks for using Leebra!
