Finger guns "pew pew"
Also friday/Saturday night if you have the time. I swung by on July 4th so see what the neighborhood was like. A couple of small get togethers happening but nothing too crazy. Figured if it wasn't too bad on a national holiday it wouldn't get too crazy normally.
Are you on mobile or are you using desktop? The mobile app is definitely still in development so it's missing a lot of those QOL things that you are missing.
For me it's been helpful to use that fediverse search tool, and copy and paste it into the search. Seems to work better on desktop. I've got a decent feed going today, but it's definitely a work in progress.
Still in shock that this was the decision from the Supreme Court. We (the masses) are always trying to put the justices in these black and white boxes, but now Roberts and previously Barrett have issued decisions that don't seem to be line with that thinking.
As soon as Clare was laid off I no longer was interested in 538 (atleast the podcast end). She had the most interesting perspective in my opinion. As far as the models go, most of the ones out there all seem similarly accurate so it is what it is.
Congratulations! That's a solid field to be in. There's so much work that only qualified electrician can do (as someone who bought a 120 year old house with some wiring issues).
How long was the apprenticeship?
Spending most of my day today loving the fact that it’s cardigan weather where I live. Although I did just discover that I’m wearing a woman’s cardigan (not a big deal). Turns out that whole “button on the wrong side” thing from The Office is actually real.
The main difference is that it's all in one place within a post each day. So it can be ongoing comment chains throughout the day within a post instead of needing to create a post for each new thought/topic. So if I want to just chat/dialogue with some folks I'm not clicking in and out, I'm just scrolling down a thread and interacting there.
There's definitely a little bit of overlap with the main community, just a different form of interacting for folks who are interested.
This is interesting because it looks like this is designed to be a one-off starter (for one loaf). If you want to use it more often you can grow it from this and feed it for a week or so. Then you'll be able to use 50g or whatever they recommend in this recipe for bread and store the rest to keep feeding for later
Yeah I'm not even sure what the formula is for that. Are they just arbitrary numbers designed to make people feel bad about themselves? Like the numbers are so low. It make sense to do it by inch or whatever.
That being said I also ran into issues wearing jeans because as guys we wear our jeans at our hips, not up higher. I kept buying pants that were too big because I was measuring my stomach.
(wow this thread is making me seem not very smart lol)
It's weird how often this comes up. I can't imagine life as a lefty. This happens with golf clubs, all sorts of sports stuff in general. Used golf clubs for lefties are always $100-$200 more.
What the fuck is this timeline. I get the whole "athletes shouldn't care about outside perspectives" thing. But at this point the amount of media shitting on the Bills and Josh because they assume that's why Diggs isn't there has reached critical mass. Either make your statement about you want or be there. Stop with the silence so the media fills the void.
It's been interesting seeing how these communities grow and merge over time. I'm new to Lemmy, but it'll be fun to see what happens and if all these different communities will merge or consolidate.
It's especially cool to see the country/language specific instances. I feel like Reddit was very Americanized (politics = U.S. politics). It's nice to go take a look at what's going on everywhere else in a structured way.
Sucks that he never recovered from that Achilles it seems like. Did he ever get a payday? I can't imagine being a 6th rounder, then getting so much hype, then cut multiple teams. Hope he gets some sort of back-up contract.
thanks for using Leebra!
