If you didn't hand mine the silicon, can you really call yourself committed?
I hope you both enjoy yourselves :)

Not related to the content of the video, haven't watched it yet, but wanted to express some thoughts.
I believe that, like most of these other fads, 'AI' is really just a whole lot of marketing blowing new technology out of proportion, like blockchain and all that's come before it.
Besides the material, negative effects that 'AI' has, I find it deeply upsetting that this framing gets in the way of really understanding the advancements that neural networks, and the other underlying technology represent.
I often hear people say 'oh well AI is good in the medical field!', or 'AI wastes X massive quantity of water!', But these broad statements base themselves on 'AI' as this massive umbrella term, which is exactly how AI 'tech-bros' A-Z want people to think of it as.
And when the consensus of a definition forms, discussing things properly just becomes so much harder. It is like how Dungeons and Dragons all but defines the majority of the world's definition of TTRPG so thoroughly that, really, no one even knows the term
Where is your copy of Fallout 2 from? Your best bet might be to pirate the steam version of the game, as I believe most english guides are made for it. You may also simply have a different version of the 'patchxxx.dat' file.
It depends on the specific mod, and I'm sure there are exceptions where you could create a cut-down version, but near universally, if a mod requires the script extender, there's almost no way to port it to consoles. May I ask which particular mod you're trying to convert?
Curated recommendation lists on the index would be an excellent solution, especially for those who would rather stray from algorithmic solutions, though I suppose it requires a certain baseline usage first.
From what I've heard, Bethesda and Obsidian have always been great places to work. I hope Microsoft isn't ruining that for the devs. Hopefully the increasing union presence in Microsoft will bring worker interests back into consideration.
I can only go off of what I've heard directly from Bethesda devs, who from what I've seen generally have the attitude of ''he is a great boss who has been given too much to handle as the studio got bigger." You're probably referring to the 'seagulling' post which, afaik, was a 4chan post without a source.
