This is a good very good thing! Let's hope that Dell & Lenovo will also cover their more Consumer oriented devices (Lenovo Yoga, Lenovo Ideapad or Dell Non-Pro or XPS models) instead of just their Business oriented Models (like Dell Latitudes and Thinkpads/Thinkstation)
I would also propose going with Tailscale instead If a VPN + DynDNS solution. Imho it is a lot easier to Setup compared to VPN + DynDNS If you are a beginner and just starting out.
If at some point you need more and then is available in the free Tier of Tailscale and you do not want to pay for it (and you have built up some knowledge!) you can switch to something like Headscale or Netbird.
I see this mostly as pre-work for supporting the Steam machine. But nevertheless it is a Big Deal for the Handheld Market because now SteamOS now becomes an even better option for most of the Handhelds available. Maybe some manufacturers might even think about shipping their devices with SteamOS.
Me personally I am very happy with the Lenovo Legion Go S on Steam OS (just bought the Windows version and replaced it with Steam OS). With the better support we can feal more comfortable to recommend SteamOS for users of other devices.
I really like that now some Content Creators are working on providing useful information for Linux gamers. Especially information like bad Frame pacing or "unreasonable" bad performance for some certain games for certain hardware is a very important information to make a good decision when buying a card.
Me personally I am not very interested in the performance comparison between Linux and Windows. I choose Linux as my daily driver for specific reasons, and game performance was not a high priority. But knowing which Hardware might have strange performance problems compared to other Hardware if I wamt to game is always a very nice thing.
I liked that the Intel B580 was included in the charts. This gave me some usefull information for comparing it to a AMD 9060 XT. Only thing I am missing is if it is the 8GB or 16GB version of the Sapphire Pulse. But I did not check their Blog/Site post yet.
For me this was a very interesting talk to get some understanding of hiw fex works. Interesting for me was this intermediate representation of the x86 code to run their optimization in.
Also the part about Asahi and hiw they use FEX and how it can be improved was nice.
I like such short overviews without me needing to dig through all the Documentation.

The whole Page doesn't Sound very convincing. Advertising your product with RoHS and REACH compliance when you are legally obligated to fullfill these regulations.
Also "handcrafted cables": What do you mean? You make each cable by Hand? That would be ridiculous and incredibly ineffective. Look at companies like LAPP Kabel who also operate in Germany to see how its done propperly.
It looks to me like someone is trying to ride the wave of EU alternatives and sustainability, but doesn't actually have a suitable product.

Overall I agree with Torvalds standpoint: If you do Not want to use AI -> that's fine. If you want to use it and you are producing good results -> also fine If you want to use it and produce Bad results (e.g. do not review/Check theory output) -> Not good and your contribution will be rejected
It is a tool. Use it as such.
Of course this does not cover the economics of AI and If these huge Investments will pay for themself in the Future .
I especially waited for the Parental control features to land in GNOME 50. Great to see they made it into the release. Now I don't need aditional tools to enforce bedtime for my son.
Document annotations in the Document viewer is also a nice thing. But I would rather have proper Signing support via certificates for professional use cases.
For me it's openSUSE Tumbleweed on my Desktops/Laptops and openSuse Leap on my Servers. The killing Feature for me was the propper BTRFS integration with Snapper for seamless rollbacks in case I borked the system in some way.
One "downside" for me is the mix of Gnome Settings and Yast on my Desktop. But I like yast on my servers for managing everything (enabling ports in firewall, network config, enable autoamtic isntall of security updates, etc.). Also openSuse is not that common, so sometimes it is hard to find a solution if you have a distribution specific question.
Personally never looked to closely into openSuse Build Services (OBS). But I know some people who really like it.
Building your own PC with SteamOS is Missing one very important part for Home Media: propper CEC Support. This is something no DIY GPU or Motherboard has included Out of the Box. But it is very important for a good console like experience.
