changing to Signal would isolate you from most people and businesses.
Sounds great - if I wasn't already using Signal, that just might persuade me 😁
Yeah, fair point. I was thinking of those 45s that don't have a punch out as an option.
The different playback speed also allows more music to be squeezed onto each side of the disc (albeit at a slightly lower quality).
Tower looks like it can't think of anything to say.
Just to add to this, many 45s came with the same small hole as LPs and 12" singles. The big hole was there for 45s that were to be used in jukeboxes, I think.
"Finally"!
The API changes. I use Sync, and not being able to use Sync made Reddit more or less unusable for me on my phone. I also fundamentally disagreed with the direction Reddit was going. So, Lemmy it was, and it's great. And now there's Sync for Lemmy, which is even better!
There's always a tweet:

Holy shit.
He can, because there's no law against it. Probably nobody thought there'd ever need to be!
Tomato :-)
If it was BlueSky forcing sign in, I would agree. But this is giving the user control of their own posts. I don't really see a problem with it tbh.
That middle row is perfect - you could easily just have that, and the point he's making would be crystal clear.
Trump's actions don't even make sense, let alone meet any standard of fairness or intelligence.
A horse that was wearing a curple,
Found the sting of a wasp made him hirple,
Said the horse, "I don't mind"
"But I'm starting to find,"
"That the spot of the sting has turned purple!"
And it worked. I just licked one. It tasted horrible.
Maybe it's personal preference, but I absolutely DESPISE companies who put this sort of cutesy, look how fun we are, but also very passive aggressive, bullshit on their communications.
This goes beyond mildly infuriating for me.
Oh this is Rev David Black, the same guy that they shot in the head with a pepper ball because he was [checks notes] standing praying at them.

Not young anymore, but when I see the price of live music, alcohol, etc, and combine that with things like student debt, low income jobs and the pressure of potentially being humiliated via social media, I wonder how on earth young people ever go out.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been in my late teens/early 20s during the late 90s and early 2000s. I suspect a lot of my generation dodged a fair few bullets, and never even realised it at the time.
Because it'll make look Trump look heroic?
That was my first thought too, because Trump is a horrible, vicious fuckwit, but now I'm not so sure.
The photographer's job is to document what happened, and this does that. On a purely aesthetic/journalistic level this is a hell of a photo. I don't think it'd be right to delete it just because of how it might get used later, or by whom.
I hate, hate, HATE that MAGAs will make this iconic, don't get me wrong. But the photographer captured a major news event, while literally under fire (albeit the shooting had just stopped) and I think that deserves respect and recognition.
Well, my hobby is searching for historical religious artifacts, so...
