Ok, as someone from Colorado, District 4 is super fucking rural... Think 23.3 people per square mile (District 1 is Denver, 4,678 people per square mile). These people are Trump people, and Boebert is a Trump bootlicker, this is not a surprise. She changed districts because she knew she couldn't win her old district.

Colorado has 8 districts, so this is the result of 1/8 of the population, and easily the most red. This is not a representation of Colorado, Colorado is firmly blue and most of us fucking hate her guts.

The kid used AI. The lawsuit doesn't argue they didn't and are being unfairly punished. They're arguing that there weren't any rules explicitly saying they couldn't use AI.

Sounds like rich parents mad at the world cuz their kid fucked up. How can they ruin our perfect Billy's life over a decision he made, knowing full well it was wrong!!!! Now he might have to go to a less prestigious college... Boohoo!

Safe Cut Can Opener, traditional can openers should be extinct. It unrolls the original seal so there's no sharp edges. It also doesn't leave a lip, so none of the insides get stuck on the ledge. Then, if you don't use all the can, just plop the lid back on and throw it in the fridge.

Cringe…

AI slop?

Plutonium-238's half-life is 87.7 years, Americium-241 is 432.6 years. Which... is almost 5 times longer, so... not sure why that's cringe?

With an atomic number of 241, it’s hardly small.

I believe they're referring to the fact that it's not an element of major topic. This is the first time I've ever heard of it.

I think this could be compelling given that tech continues to get more power efficient. I don't know the numbers, but if we were to launch the same tech that's on Voyager 1/2 today, would we be able to do that with 1/5 the power? If so, those probes could likely still have all their instruments running if they used Americium.

I'm in Denver as well, you can't find regular eggs in stock. The only thing I can find is the cage-free/brown egg stuff. So this price isn't too far off (especially for King Soopers (Kroger). I've seen price tags for as low as $5.50, but never in stock (this was at Trader Joe's).

I go to a local grocery store, end of last year a dozen eggs could be had on special (pretty regularly) for $1. I spent $4.50 for a half-dozen on sale... ($9/dozen). It came with a card that said Jubilant Julie is the bird of the month, LMAO. This was the cheapest option, including sold-out stuff.

My recommendation to OP is stop shopping at King Soopers and Safeway. Shop around, try out Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Target, etc. Or, better yet, find a local grocery store (Brother's Market, Max Market, Clark's Market, Sun Market, Syracuse Market to name a few). Not only will it probably be a better product for the same/less price, but you'll support a local business and you won't have to wait in line for 10+ soul-crushing minutes.

There are some universities looking at AI from this perspective, finding ways to teach proper usage of AI. Then building testing methods around the knowledge of students using it.

Your point on checking for accuracy is on point. AI doesn't always puke out good information, and ensuring students don't just blindly believe it NEEDS to be taught. Otherwise wise you end up being these guys... https://apnews.com/...

The park that I live next to has 3 apple trees (I'm in USA). These are not grocery store apples, they're small and riddle with bugs, this isn't an orchard.

When the apples are ripe, they'll get picked by kids and familes for a couple weeks. Nobody hordes them, nobody sees it as stealing, they're cool, and great for the community.

I'm just sad that they're getting old and about to die. There used to be 5 just a couple years ago. I think they may have planted a couple new saplings, but I'm not an arborist.

Fruit trees typically don't live as long as other trees, that's probably why parks and rec usually don't plant them. Having to replace an apple tree every 25 years as opposed to a Maple, Oak, Sycamore, Pine, Elm, Cedar every 100-200+ years, kinda an easy choice. With that said, I like it, and think it's worth. More parks should have a handful of them.

You're right! If the Republicans had firm control over the house, these shit heads wouldn't have the power they do. However, the current house has a razor thin margin, 213 Democrats and 222 Republicans, so losing 5 Republicans and they can't pass anything. This has given that small portion of ultra right wing reps (Boebert, MTG, Gaetz, etc.) a ton of power over the Republican Party.

I live next to a park and saw a fire underneath some pine trees, after putting it out, it was started by one of these stupid vapes. Pretty sure some asshole littered that thing there, the impact on the ground punctured the battery and it started a fire. These disposable vapes need to be illegal.

Why is it ok for America to drop two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end their existential threat war, why was it ok for us to do that? I thought it was ok. So Israel, do whatever you have to do to survive as a Jewish state.

The journalist didn't even mention nuclear bombs, Senator Graham brought it up themselves and then suggested it would be 'ok' to nuke Gaza if it ends the conflict. Yeah, the article is shit, it's The Daily Beast... watch the actual interview.

Last year? They've been a cartel for far longer than that... The early 2000s there were multiple indictments including some executives serving time in jail. Early 2010s the EU fined the cartels. Then even in the late 2010s there was a suit over price fixing... They've just gotten better at their cartel operations to dodge litigation.

I believe the 'harm' here is that the USPS isn't allowed to set internal policies for how to operate. Such as the USPS being allowed to set policies on what they can/can't mail. This might mean that their rules around refusing to ship some items (e.g. explosives, hazmat, air bags, mercury, etc.) might be blocked as that's not an 'illegal' substance or whatever.

To be clear, I don't agree with this ruling, since I think this blocks a state's ability to operate their elections as they see fit. There's also no reason to block the mail as it's not dangerous or illegal. So, I think the court missed the mark here.
