Symfonium is another paid example. Amazing app. Even with the new rules we can post about them. With that, I don't understand your original complaint.
If you're not pushing your paywalled stuff, it doesn't affect you, does it?

Yeah, I understand that. I was suggesting saying the same thing without the exception wording. In the end, it doesn't stop us from talking about paid software. I use Plex, etc, etc, it's the promotion that's the problem.... That being said, maybe I've misunderstood non_burglar's complaint. Unless they are a closed source dev looking to promote.
I think that's the important distinction to make. Maybe get rid of the f/loss exception and explicitly call out the paid aspect. If you're here to promote software that's pay walled you get the 10% rule.
ETA: I'm fine with the new rules. Just trying to find common ground.
This is horse shit. My ~8 month old son was put on all the lists in our area when my wife was a month pregnant. The only one that we have a chance with he's 11th and its $1800 a month. We didn't make the short list for next school year it seems.
Navidrome and symfonium(paid) have been amazing to me for the last year. I'll never go back.
If someone gave me 21billion I bet I could only lose 1 billion, return the 20, and never be seen again.
More money to the $10 a day program is horse shit. $19 a day, $10 a day. None of it matters if you can't get in to ANY to begin with.
On the $10 a day lists we're over 100th in line. We got on as soon as we had a positive test.
On the daycares that don't join the $10/day program, they are 1500++ a month. We're still 30+ on some lists and 11th on one.
Please, Please tell me you're not in Canada. This sounds similar to a job I interviewed for. I've been a Linux guy for 14+ years and it sounds like they're moving me on to next round for a windows job. If you are in Canada, I'm desperate so you'll have help soon.
Otherwise, the main takeaway here is don't work yourself into the ground. Do your 7-3 and go home to relax. Don't study, don't think about work, just RELAX. They said themselves they'll pay you to learn, mistakes are okay, and they know youre a Jr. who is learning.
From this job you should learn windows, learn how to set professional boundaries and stick to them. Dedicate an hour or two once a week to apply to other jobs. It's not important but you don't want to stay there. Don't burn yourself out. Good luck.
100% agree with you on all points.
Company I worked for was owned by private equity. We didn't make enough money so they said we're bankrupt. a month or so later my first child was born. It has been 9 months and I need a job. My résumé is very Linux, CI/CD, devops heavy. I've been applying to everything. No idea why a windows shop even considered me but here we are. I'll be driving an hour away from home for the privilege of being abused, underpaid, and being away from my family.
This was my thought too. I'm going to wait and try and buy a used one, assuming some people will buy it, use it for a week and look to sell.
After the files have copied I always run sync to be sure then I umount
I want to know the opinion of the person who down voted you. I only buy phones with unlockable bootloaders for this reason.
Charge us whatever you want, nothing will change that I do not want to become the 51st state.
We'll make new friends who went to kindergarten and have learned how to make friends and share. You're quickly becoming background noise already.
Amazon employees who refused to relocate near main offices of their teams were told they either have to find a new job internally or leave the company through a “voluntary resignation.”
How dumb does he think people are? This just makes me angry because they're probably going to get away with it too.
Starting from the home screen, your main home page on Apostrophy OS is called the “Domus.” It’s a grayscale page with shortcuts for the Aphy Store (Apostrophy’s own app store), your calendar, contacts, Apostrophy’s VPN service, your files, email, and more. You can’t customize anything on this page, and everything you do here is run through Apostrophy’s servers for maximum security.
So far, not so good...
The last paragraph feel more like the authors opinion, which is a bit weird on an Android website.
I agree with the EU on this one though, I hate walled gardens and the EU is doing good work.
"I deal with every country, indirectly or directly. One of the nastiest countries to deal with is Canada," Trump said.
I'll take that as a complement from you. Thanks!
We’re taking care of their military. We’re taking care of every aspect of their lives, and we don’t need them to make cars for us,” Trump told Time. “In fact, we don’t want them to make cars for us. We want to make our own cars. We don’t need their lumber. We don’t need their energy. We don’t need anything from Canada. And I say the only way this thing really works is for Canada to become a state.
Then stop importing and we'll see how long before it's a problem for the people.
But the pedo is the one who will bomb them, and its clear he doesn't give a fuck.
These people have balls. I wouldn't be there. I think it'll give him more reason to bomb them. Fuck this sucks.
I never really understood the "I have nothing to hide" mindset. I've always been for privacy. I self host everything I use, and when I don't (e-mail) I PAY someone to do it for me. No Google services in my life, no apple, etc, etc.
However, more and more I'm wondering if what I'm doing is worth it. Really, the people who "have nothing to hide" seem fine, nothing bad has happened, and it seems far more likely my information was leaked from a hack (credit carma I'm looking at you). Credit cards know where I am, what I buy.... Its endless. Plus now I have stress about my self hosted services going down.
So these guys who share their location and just live in blissful ignorance, are they on to something? I think life would be 'easier' for me on their side...
