Entire plot lines hinging on people not explaining themselves which would take about 5 seconds.

Well, yeah, when people are spending $30K-$80K on a car, they're likely gonna miss payments eventually. The car market, including used cars, has been over-inflated for years.

We had a 2003 Honda Element that we bought in 2008 for $8000. It had less than 50,000 miles on it. We saw that same exact model in a car lot this year, with over 150,000 miles and they were selling it for $10,000. Over 15 years later and over 100,000 miles more on it and it's selling for more. There is a serious problem with the car market right now.

Might want to get that cough checked out. ...unless you're in America, in which case you probably couldn't afford it.

As someone with a degree in physics who ended up in an engineering role, I approve of this meme.

It's ironic that people who want to live "God-fearing lives" are basically choosing to worship the antichrist. Because that's what Trump is. You know people by their actions, not whatever bull crap they spout to get reelected.

Hey now. Us physics majors can just do less efficient engineering work.

...with an inferiority complex.

Reducing the world population is the obvious answer to slowing the detrimental effects humankind are having on the earth.

Movie quotes. It's amazing how many questioning looks we get from other people when quoting movies to each other.

I want to see some Brandon Sanderson novels made into movies or TV shows. Preferably animated as I don't think a live action would work.

I love what Tolkien built, but I hate this part of his legacy. His "estate" should recognize what douchebags they are and just go away. But they won't, because money.

About 10 years ago we lived near this family that were friends with our family. The couple was a little older than my wife and I but not by much. The wife and my wife liked to hang out, but whenever I went over to their house, it seemed like the husband was very flirtatious with my wife. No huge red flags or anything, just joking a lot and laughing a lot and seeming interested. I didn't really say anything to my wife, but I always had a bad feeling about the dude. I think she thought he was just being friendly. We moved away from there for many years but ended up moving back about 3 years ago. We didn't really live in exactly the same area, so my wife and the other wife chatted from time to time, but didn't really hang out. She did call my wife though when her husband started cheating on her with someone from work. He apparently was very open about flirting with other women and when she found out he wouldn't stop seeing/sleeping with the girl from work. She told my wife that he told her he always regretted that they had as many kids as they did (4) and that it was her fault. So, turns out all my bad feelings about this dude ended up being true. The really crazy part is that the dudes wife still won't leave him, even though he is basically openly cheating at this point. It's sad. He's such a loser.

When I had one? Frequently. Especially when I traveled. My wireless earbuds would die but I had a pair of plug in earbuds I always brought as well. With my new phone, I don't have that option, so when my wireless ones die, I'll just sit there twiddling my thumbs.

There's never really any single event that builds trust. Trust is just built over time. When it's broken, it's hard if not impossible to build back.

I was actually in this scenario just last night. We watched TV.

Scrubs - I maintain that the "9th season" was a spinoff. It was called Scrubs: Med School. Scrubs as a whole series (1-8) is unbeatable.

Stranger Things - it just seems to hit all the right notes. Especially season 4. There were some episodes in that season that were just perfect.

I used to live near a road that was called "Old Fort Rd". It was near the highway and one time, this person added a line to the exit sign with white tape so it said "Old Fart Rd." My wife and I always got a good laugh out of that.

For the most part, it has nothing to do with people's general driving competency. It has to do with their anger issues. People really just don't care about others anymore. Defensive driving is virtually nonexistent for the majority of drivers, because everyone's mentality is entirely selfish. Most days, many people are just giving in to their rage. And it's not just behind the wheel either. All aspects of life are being swallowed by people's indifference and anger.
