I think if you read through this and take it at face value, there is a pretty clear picture of what happened: https://robmensching.com/...

Nationalise the lot of them. They had their chance.
No, no, that can't be right. Randy said the game was super optimal. š¤
Ah, I see, cut income tax just before a general election despite having literally years to do so prior, just so Labour will be forced to find extra income elsewhere or revert the tax cut in some form when they get in power. Cynical as usual.
It's a great base for general desktop use as well as server. Been using it on my PC for years now, and aside from a few 3rd party repositories it has everything I need. It just works and continues to work.
Curious to know what they intend to do with the Bully XLs currently owned legally.
Maybe I woke up more cynical this morning, but...
Hoping to save her job, much?
I've switched to using Jerboa from Sync and it's absolutely fine for my casual usage and it doesn't have ads, which is a big plus point.
Would have loved to see this for my 4A but glad they're looking to extend the support window moving forward. Many phones now are powerful enough to go years past their obsolescence date and chucking them away is just e-waste.
If you wanted to do both front and backend development TypeScript + JS/Node would make the most sense, no? I say this as someone who works with and enjoys working with Go almost every day, but there's only so much time to learn new stuff.
Don't feel bad, you were in a vulnerable position and even if it was a genuine request you shouldn't feel pressured to place yourself in danger.
If you really want to help the homeless, or ease your conscience, donate to Shelter. At least there you know the money won't be going towards someone's drug habit.
If they started offering help it would undermine the BoE's strategy and likely open up a can of worms. I say this as someone having bought a property in 2021 and remortgaging this year.
The BoE have one lever they can pull and it's labelled "interest rates go up".
Edit: tbh, I'm more concerned with the housing market crashing due to the high interest rates making ownership at the current prices unaffordable. I suspect when we remortgage again we'll be paying the same amount of interest or higher due to being moved an LTV banding, which will be depressing.
Is it an issue of a bad value in a config file (check line 6, column 26)?
This is the most senseless thing about the RTO movement to me. We have a tiny country and, in software at least, jobs are centralised in a few major cities. There was an opportunity for people from all over to live wherever they choose and spend in their local areas, spread the wealth throughout the country.
But nah, let's go back to the office, the congested and overburdened roads, the noise and air pollution, the hours lost travelling. It's hugely disappointing.
Well done to everyone who made this possible š
Shades of this imo:

I mean, the optical fingerprint sensors they've been using on the Pixels are absolutely garbage, so I will never use this feature.
As they were before, they weren't really worth the effort. Now they seem like a totally lost cause. Hopefully they'll measure the effect of these changes on player participation and rebalance them again.
Both Lemmy and Jerboa are v0 releases and as such should probably be considered unstable (assuming semantic versioning). The average user probably won't know or care - and why should they? So it's not great in that sense.
Yes, because obviously Starmer is happy for violence to be directed towards innocent civilians. š
thanks for using Leebra!
