Running Linux on a Macbook is also an option (what I currently do, you need a supported model though), and it would probably have better battery life than an rtx4060 laptop and you get the nice touchpad/screen/aesthetics. Alternatively, you can consider getting a different less power hungry laptop, and in both cases you can use a charging bank if you have to.
choosing a distro with specialised security hardening (immutable systems, Nix, Qubes, Bazzite) does matter; most of these will make new users unhappy or even question their sanity.
Out of curiosity, as someone who's never used Bazzite/other uBlue/SilverBlue/etc, what makes it difficult for new users? I definitely agree with Nix and Qubes though (and SecureBlue to some extent).
If yt-dlp/Newpipe still works over a VPN then Spotube with ListenBrainz plugin is an option, but it's extremely buggy and they're working on a rewrite afaik. Or use another YT Music client, or download your music and use an offline player. If you have the time and resources to self-host that's also an option of course.
Funny enough initially in the Bible people weren't supposed to eat meat at all, then they loosened the restrictions but had rules for certain species (although I don't recall if animal sacrifices started before or after this). Then in the new testament they did away with a bunch of rules but in a very vague way so Christians get to cherry pick what they want and when then argue about it with other Christians. Although there was also a story about a blanket or something with a ton of "bad" meat where god said to eat so I guess that counts as justification
