Another one I found: Which is just this I think https://medium.com/...

Granted I'm baiting it and it does say not to drink it.

Space consideration is a bit more obvious with the seat though

How pronounced the difference is feels like it varies but the rounded ones are frequently just way too tiny.

GN could pick any Linux distro and get metrics but they'll want to be consistent and pick what will be most relevant.

For most people SteamOS will be the pick when moving away from windows pretty much entirely because it's "Valve's" OS, who are a known entity compared to "whoever makes this Bazzite thing" (or whatever other distro). This will give them more confidence to switch as they are familiar with/trust Valve to some extent and know that they're going to make sure their os works and can play games as well as can be expected on Linux. Obviously we know you can do it on other distros but switching your OS is a big change and people will want more assurance.

GN could cover performance on other distros but I think that would probably just be noise to people who are on the fence/not that interested compared to "here's how things work on Valve's SteamOS". (Also probably just provides a clear starting point and direction for GN)

I doubt the goal is to produce easily understood bash, otherwise you'd just write bash to begin with. It's probably more similar to a typescript transpiler that takes in a language with different goals and outputs something the interpreter can execute quickly (no comment on how optimized this thing is).

God forbid people care about the game's development. Nobody is trying to stop you from playing or enjoying the game.

The show has a completely different tone and pacing from the books. The books are much closer to LotR (particularly the first one which is basically just alt. Fellowship) and spend a lot of time with the characters traveling and getting to know each other and the lore of the world. There's plenty of bickering, but the characters all like each other and get along decently. The show opted to cut most of the parts where you learn what's going on to instead focus on manufactured drama.

They also just changed things in really confusing ways like making Mat's parents deadbeats, among other things. Some of the plot restructuring makes sense given how much stuff there is to adapt. I don't think anyone reasonable can expect any book adaptation to keep 100% faithful unless it's getting crazy funding as a TV series. That said they just really took a knife to things.

Idk, as someone who loves the books despite their issues I wasn't particularly enamoured with the show. Some people liked it though.

If the world seemed interesting I'd recommend the audiobooks. Love Michael Kramer and Kate Reading.

That's compared to default wine which doesn't have f-sync. Compared to proton there probably won't be much of a difference.

That said I feel like when people are referring to whether or not something "is a word" they're referring to whether not is has seen historical/widespread usage, not "has somebody ever just decided it meant something, somewhere, at some point"

Part of the problem with talking about these things in a casual setting is that nobody is using precise enough terminology to approach the issue so others can actually parse specifically what they're trying to say.

Personally, saying the AI "knows" something implies a level of cognizance which I don't think it possesses. LLMs "know" things the way an excel sheet can.

Obviously, if we're instead saying the AI "knows" things due to it being able to frequently produce factual information when prompted, then yeah it knows a lot of stuff.

I always have the same feeling when people try to talk about aphantasia or having/not having an internal monologue.
