For anyone genuinely struggling with this: There's a setting in the Outlook options that will keep the invite in your inbox after you accept it.

I don't have access to Outlook anymore so I can't tell you where it is, sorry. It's buried in that awful overwhelming interface somewhere, but hopefully knowing that it exists is a helpful starting point. Good luck.

Edit: Apparently they've removed this option in the "new" Outlook, my condolences if you're using that one.

What is this false narrative? Genuine question, I'm out of the loop and might not recognize the misinformation if/when I see it.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, couldn't work it out from a quick scan of the comments.

I also just went through an awful pregnancy with my second child, I completely sympathize. It was a lot worse than my first one, constant nausea and heartburn and fatigue the entire 9 months. In the last 2 months I could barely move and didn't have enough energy to do much of anything I enjoyed (including the more lowkey hobbies like playing games and drawing) - all I could do was watch TV on a recliner until my butt got sore, and then go lie down and nap/read until my hips got sore. Drove me completely up the wall and destroyed my mental health, and my husband wasn't doing great either with 100% of the housework and childcare on his shoulders.

I hated every moment of it, and felt guilty for hating it the entire time.

I'm so sorry for your 2 losses, best of luck with this pregnancy. It's horrible, but hang in there. You can do it, I believe in you.

There isn't really any indication of how often they buy her these things. It could just be once every couple of months, or when she's had an especially bad day.

My husband and I got curious about the variance in canned tomatoes one day, so we got one can from every brand we could find. We had a blind tasting session where we tried each one without knowing what brand it was (palate cleansers in between) and ranked them all out of 10 with some comments. We didn't share our rankings or thoughts with each other until the Big Reveal at the end when we found out which tomatoes were which.

Turned out we actually preferred some of the cheaper brands, and the most expensive ones got worse ratings. There wasn't a direct relationship between price and preference, but it was interesting.

It was a fun day. We also did the same thing with soda water.

I think most viewers can be grouped into 3 main categories (please note these are just very broad generalizations)

Category 1 viewers watch streams because they like the game that is being played, and basically treat it like watching sports. They want to watch skilled people doing skillful and impressive things. Maybe they play the game themselves, but not always. They tend to focus on categories rather than channels, and are quick to unfollow if a streamer starts playing something else, even if it's a similar genre.

Category 2 viewers watch streams because of the personality of the streamer and the vibes of the stream, and tend to have parasocial relationship. I won't say much about this category because I honestly don't understand the whole parasocial thing at all, I just know it's a Thing.

Category 3 viewers watch streams because of the streamer's community. They're focused on not just the personality of the streamer, but also the kind of environment they foster and how they interact with the viewers. I'm in this group, I'm on twitch to meet people and make some genuine connections. I've made some great friends in streams, not just with the actual streamer, but the other chatters as well - we hang out off-stream and play games, watch movies, just chat, etc. This group tends to contain a lot of smaller streamers supporting each other (in a bit of a circle-jerk, I admit)

From what I've seen, categories 1 and 2 gravitate towards larger, well-established channels, while category 3 prefer smaller streamers and will be supportive but disappointed if someone they watch becomes "big".

All of this is just my own observations hanging out on twitch and talking with other viewers and streamers, please take with a grain of salt. Also I have no idea how much of this applies to other streaming platforms like YouTube or Kick.

Focus less on expressing yourself, and more on what makes her happy. This post is mostly about you - your feelings, and what you want. You've given us no information about your girlfriend, and I think that's indicative of your current mindset. Flip it on its head, and make her feelings the focus instead of your own.

She's not just your girlfriend, she's her own, unique person - If you truly listen to her wants and needs and preferences instead of just taking generic advice about "girlfriends", that'll make her feel much more special than anything else you can do.

Exactly this. Your brain gets absolutely blasted with a bunch of chemicals during childbirth and your memory of it becomes very hazy, especially the pain parts. This happens with or without pain management.

Pretty awkward when you forget/can't find the event date though. I've managed to create an event in the wrong year at least once.

I absolutely love the taste of energy drinks. The more artificial and tangy, the better. It's hard to find, but there's a soda that tastes like an energy drink without the caffeine and I buy it whenever I can.

I had a friend that was coerced into doing promo for this game and the team were really condescending. I got a lot of bad cash-grabby vibes from them, I'm staying away from this one.

Whenever I'm in a group of NTs, I typically just step back and observe. Seems to me that they talk a lot about other people in various ways - those that all or most of the people in the conversation know personally, famous people, and/or people that only the speaker knows and are informing the rest of the party about. This always seems to take up a surprising percentage of the conversations and sneak into other topics as well (e.g. If the topic is about painting a wall, some other person that painted a wall recently will get mentioned).

They also seem to talk about the weather (classic), traffic, the price of various items (petrol, milk, taxis, electricity, etc), any local events, TV shows/movies, and restaurants a lot. But all of it at a very superficial level, no one seems interested in doing deep dives into any particular topic or even being very specific about anything. Any and all information is typically anecdotal with no one being inclined to research further into anything being said, just the fact that it was said by someone seems to be enough.

My general impression is that their goal is to fill up the air with inconsequential words. That seems to tick the "being social and maintaining friends" goal for them, and any sort of information gained (e.g. Restaurant recommendations or life updates on a friend) is secondary.

If you do this, please keep an eye on how that individual person is reacting. Some people will love this and think you're a wonderful, friendly person. Other people will be made incredibly uncomfortable. Both are valid responses.

I am personally in the latter camp. I'm autistic, I find eye contact difficult. If you're being quite insistent about it, I will find it aggressive. As for the smiling, I am immediately distrustful of anyone giving me a giant smile while talking to me for the first time. A little smile is normal, but if you have a massive grin without any observable cause, my assumption is that you are trying to corner me into something. Maybe I'm just too cynical or damaged in some way, but this just sets off my alarm bells.

I think butter would be a very interesting one! Especially for the spreadable kind.

The only other item I've done this with was beer. We had about 10 of our college friends all bring one or two kinds of beer each in a paper bag, smuggling in to the designated "staging" room. I wasn't super into beer so I just did the facilitating on this one - I randomized the order and handed out samples of the beer in small cups to everyone, and everyone gave a ranking and some thoughts, as well as trying to guess what the beer was. At the end, I entered everything into excel and had a little presentation of the results. It was a fun night.

The most memorable part was when our friend who LOVES this one particular (somewhat pricey) craft beer gave it like a 3/10. He spent the entire night ranking everything quite low and waiting for his fav to come up, expecting to immediately recognize it and give it an 11 - to the point where he accused me of missing his contribution completely - just to discover it was beer #4 and he had already made disparaging comments about it.

How many times have you left the house without your keys or wallet? How often have you left your phone somewhere stupid? These are things that we actively need almost every time we leave the house, yet most people still forget them every now and then. It's much easier to forget about something that you only need in an emergency maybe once a month.

I also make a habit of carrying a couple of pads in my purse, but there are a number of reasons why they might not be in there. There's a good chance I forgot to replenish the supply from when I last used it. Sometimes I've had to minimize the stuff I'm carrying, took out the pads knowing I was safe for that particular day, and then forgot to put them back in later. Sometimes I've swapped bags and forgot to transfer them. Maybe my toddler got a hold of my bag and she pulled out a bunch of things before I caught her.

The people asking for feminine hygiene products to be kept in stock are not necessary planning to use them exclusively and to never bring their own. There's a lot of reasons we might end up without any of our own available, despite best efforts. Life happens. All we want is to retain a little dignity and minimize clothing damage when it happens.

Not wasted! If she's anything like me, the fact that the coffee is fancy is largely for herself. I can't stand offering anyone in my house worse coffee than I would make for myself, unless they specifically prefer it that way. It just feels so wrong.

If you get any extra enjoyment out of the fanciness level, that's just additional icing on the cake.
