This was an extremely high hour machine, 13,000 on the airframe and 26,000 on the engine. Not sure if that's significant, but it's definitely interesting.
Please don't link websites that have full screen popups.
I've got plans for tomorrow, tides wait for nobody.
I kinda hope the whole idea of getting utterly plastered on new years is becoming old fashioned anyway.
Also I'm broke.
I'm very much on the same page, pics or it didn't happen. If there really was a moose population, there would be prints, poo, antlers, or some other evidence.
Instead, we have a number of sightings, almost always by people from areas where moose live, but no photos.
And I believe the fact it always seems to be Americans or Canadians is significant, perhaps they're more likely to think moose when they see a shape, rather than a NZer, who would assume it was a deer?

It was a great day to be on the water, especially in Wellington. Photo taken on Ward island, we did a trip to Somes and Ward from Seatoun.
That system sounds like a bit of a nightmare to use. And worse to turn off.
I'm at Matauri Bay Campsite for the week, yesterday I made the 11.5 hour drive from the hutt Valley to here, and today we went "rock gardening", which is when you hug the coast and play amongst the rocks, paddling through narrow channels, and generally moseying around.
Tomorrow I aim to get over to the Cavalli islands, which is the main purpose of the trip.
Heading off into Queen Charlotte sound until Monday, the conditions are ideal as well.
A more generic aerospace and technology community would be better, in my view. I'd like to discuss the benefits companies like SpaceX can bring to NZ as well, for example.
Chloe being ahead of both Peter's and Seymour as preferred PM must surely rankle.
Possibly, yes. It's been a tough year for everyone I know, and a lot of people are just trying to get through the break without spending too much money.
They would pick a new one every sailing, if that's the case.
I'm glad this place exists, and I hope it continues to grow over time. Having a platform like this that isn't beholden to advertisers or the bottom line is incredibly fortunate, and I hope we can take a bite out the market share the more mainstream platforms have.
I like it, this solves the problem of nobody making the thread on the weekends, and also less clutter in the instance feed.
I had a great weekend on the water, myself and a small group camped at Mangaweka, and did a trip down the Rangitikei finishing at the campsite, then on Sunday we did the blue pools section of the Tongariro. A great weekend, no swims, and one successful unplanned roll.
Everyone involved in that conflict seems to be utterly terrible, it seems.
I did a trip up to Waihi beach over the "long weekend", leaving Wed. My car blew a head gasket just north of Taihape, and we ended up getting a rental and towing my trailer the rest of the way, which meant we arrived early the next day. I did two trips up the coast, and the third day was spent playing in the surf.
Now I need to work out the most cost effective way to get my car back home, and sell it.
Here's the GPS tracks and a few photos from the trip.

It's been a great weekend, and I plan to be back next time.
Man, journalists have no mercy when it comes to taking the piss out of other journalists.
There's really people out there called Weinersmith, huh?
