So if I understand correctly, you’re mom is an ancient Peruvian whale.

Fury didn’t look good

that is a fair point

Neither do I. Not sure if usyk used that extra time because the ref gave it to him or if he really needed it.

The sceptic in me thinks the Ngannou isn’t selling well and this is all a ruse.

Maybe not. Fingers crossed we get the fight.

Wardley adaleye fight was good.

I think it’s an acceptable fight considering the situation but if the Wilder fight fails to materialise it will not age well.

Trying to find AJ a stay busy fight that can pay him an amount he would accept is quite difficult. Not sure who was also in the running but I can understand it even if I’m not excited by it.

Thanks Richie.

First of all, I don't intend making rules that don't reflect what the community wants. There are a couple of bits that probably deserve discussion and consideration as the community grows.

Memes - currently this isn't a problem at all, and I love a good meme as much as the next person. However if it looks like we are at risk of being flooded by low effort shit posting and memes we may want to look at pointing these posters to a different community or make one specially for it.

Spoilers - there is a different website, not too dissimilar from this one, that doesn't allow spoilers in post titles for 24hrs after a fight. This probably deserves discussion.

Streams - I don't know the ramifications to letting people post streams so will take a very conservative approach until I know what is allowed and what isn't. Again, this may be more appropriate in a specific community made for it.

Anything else?

edit: I've pinned this as this seems like a good post to discuss where we want to see the community go.

Absolutely brilliant input, thank you.

I’ll enforce the 24hr rule then.

Anything more complex than IFTTT is beyond my technical ability. We can see how it goes with people posting their own fight threads for now and I love the idea of pinned daily threads.

I only signed up as mod to get it off the banned account so if yourself or anyone else fancies pitching in and volunteering as mod I’m really receptive to that. I appreciate that it’s a fairly thankless task though so no pressure.

@Richie030@lemmy.world has been made mod.

That’s actually quite tempting. Not been to Wrocław before and really liked going to Poland previously.

MMA gloves, elbows allowed, in a cage but otherwise boxing rules. Not gonna happen, and Fury would still win convincingly, but gives Ngannou just a couple of advantages.

A boy can dream.

I feel so starved of big HW fights, the AJ and Usyk fights are making me feel tingly in the trousers.

Will we get Chisora as a last minute replacement? Is there any feasible opponent for AJ that justify this being PPV in the UK? 3rd failed drug test for the Bodysnatcher - is this the end of his career?

Great card, didn’t disappoint. Great performances by Parker, AJ, Dubois, Kabayel.

Previously hadn’t seen any of Opataia but he looks like the real deal.

What are your predictions for wilder/AJ and usyk/fury?

And the chances are slimmer when Fury is part of the equation.

Yeah it’s hardly ‘wasting’ money if it’s working exactly as intended.

Appreciate it. I noticed the current, only mod is banned.

100%, couldn’t agree more. Hopefully we can kickstart some conversation.
