I had a "gf" in Runescape when I was 12. She was like 30, and married or had a boyfriend.
Shit was wild back then. I'm also gay so this didn't make much sense for me anyways ๐

My mom bought a cheap HP printer/scanner several years ago and subscribed to their "instant ink" subscription which was actually surprisingly cheap (like $3/mo) but once the printer stopped reliably connecting to the internet and nobody could print wirelessly anymore with it, she canceled the subscription and HP DISABLED ALL OF THE INK CARTRIDGES. The cartridges themselves have wifi connections so HP can automatically send you new ink when they get low. What a scam.
I asked for help on the Discord server of LinuxServer.io and they were literally talking shit about me to each other while I was in the chat because I didn't understand their utter garbage documentation for a Docker I was having trouble with, even with a CS degree.
Only reason I use an AirBNB is if it's a unique location where there are no hotels (like a cabin in the woods on a river or something) but I agree, I only book ones that don't have a ridiculous checkout policy.
I also hate that private equity has taken over towns with short term rentals making the rest of us pay more in rent.
I've seen a few studies on this, I'd have to dig up some sources but socio/psychopaths do tend to seek power... So CEO rates of socio/psychopathy are significantly higher.
Firefox ftw.
I've actually been using Waterfox lately though because for some reason there's a video codec issue on Firefox that makes YouTube videos not play correctly.
I got a second degree in computer science to try and get ahead and instead entered the market just in time for hundreds of thousands of layoffs so now I'm stuck making less than I did at my last job meanwhile inflation and rent have increased the cost of living by like 50%.
Edit: oh and suddenly WFH = evil according to every CEO because of their billions of dollars of real-estate investments
I think this will be a major issue with AI. Just because it was trained on a huge wealth of knowledge doesn't mean that it was trained on correct knowledge.
This is the reason I dislike TDD.
Fire. Fox.
Personally, I miss out on a lot of group chats because all of my friends have iPhones.
They'll create a group chat, I won't get any messages, then suddenly I'm getting a call on Saturday saying "hey are you coming to the party?" or more often than not I don't get notified at all and end up hearing about all of the things I miss at a later time. It's annoying, but I really hate iOS so I deal with it.
I've got an iMessage server running on my NAS but it's not perfect, it requires that the iPhone user send the message to my iMessage account associated with my email, not with my phone number.
This is absolutely it. She's so much more human than any of the old croaks that trump hangs out with.
Firefox ftw
Ublock released an update that allowed it to keep working on YouTube.
I had my holiday time off canceled for the second year in a row, but I can't even do any work because the customer that threw their problems at us while they're on vacation didn't provide enough specifications.
During my standup yesterday we literally determined I don't have any work to do. Thanks boss.
I was writing my resignation in my head all weekend instead of enjoying my holiday.
Right? What's life worth living for if we don't seek out the things that bring us joy.
I've got two engineering degrees and have found myself miserable in every job I've had. Sitting in an office for 8 hours does not bring me joy.
Fuck. I have been using them for backup for years, I currently have everything on my NAS but still like having important stuff in an offsite backup.
Anyone know a reasonably priced cloud storage provider that has integration (either 3rd or 1st party) with Unraid?
Edit: Dropbox just renewed my annual subscription last night at midnight ๐
Double edit: I went into my Dropbox web portal and found that the setting was enabled by default for me. I'm in the US.
My high school taught the quantum mechanical model of the atom instead of whatever simplified model most high schools teach.
I found out this was a huge advantage taking university chemistry because I was like "cool this is all review I'm gonna ace this," but everyone else in the class was like "what the fuck is going on this isn't what they taught us!"
I may have messed up the curve that quarter...
So many people driving with their brights on in the city these days. It's infuriating.
Article made it sound like only front wheel drive exists now and that only front wheel drive cars use CV joints lol.
thanks for using Leebra!
