It's really hard but I struggle to tell people about my operating system. I use Arch BTW.

Give it some time, Lemmy will get there eventually.

It's so polite I can't not delete one of my important files and share the Albanian virus.

Looks like the FBI kept his message from going through because it was a faux pas on the senders side to not know who Joe is.

I bet google doesn't have to. They can still mine your data and sell it for profit. They're a data company first after all.

No, they're not. You can use sandboxed google services, if you want to. Or you can use FOSS apps.

Exactly, the way the NSA is buying the data is no different from Facebook. Only way to stop it is for consumers to have ownership of their own data.

Which distro uses a French press?

This part is hilarious in a sad way:

At least one of Chevron’s spills is still running 21 years after it began in a Kern County oilfield, although a state spokesperson said it has been reduced by 98% “from its peak.” The amount spilled from the site, dubbed GS-5, is larger than the Exxon Valdez disaster.

It's reduced because it's been leaking for 21 years! It's bound to stop flowing as aggressively as when it first started.

I was really looking forward to a Bloodlines 2, but with all the changes I've lost all hype for the game. The trailer doesn't seem to give much confidence either.

I swear I saw something about these being two different types of insects. Can someone confirm?

I wouldn't be too surprised. After the heart beat bills that came out soon after the supreme court ruling a lot of language for abortion pills felt like it could be applied potentially to birth control. I don't think those bills passed where I am but it is worrying.

Looks like the UK is breathing a sigh of relief after this.

Why haven't these sanctions already been in effect? Seems like every now and then there are some more sanctions being added but why not just do them all already?

Took me a second. I first thought it was about working from home.

Taiwan is an independent and Democratic country. China should stop bullying other countries in their own territorial waters.

I don't think its the end of the world. Can still taste good even with bits of yeast in there. I'm not an expert but might also be the kind of yeast you put in there. Yeast with lower alcohol tolerance will die off sooner and won't be able to keep going after racking it. Also could cold crash your brew right after bottling and that'll keep the yeast from going crazy.

No issues!

Wow, that research article is loooonng. Could only get halfway before needing a break. Really cool insights!

How come? I can see this being helpful.
