I'm pretty sure the friend knew. Partner is very outspoken about being sober and was specifically the DD (designated driver) previously because of that reason

I have to see the "friend" regularly so I'm trying not to preemptively get upset and have some words prepared for the next time I see them

I need to take care of my partner first, but friendo needs to know how much damage they caused

Thank you. After some sober communication, it was my partner that bought the alcohol so I can't be angry at "friend" and can't hold them accountable

I don't have much to say right now in response to your comment but it is very meaningful and hits close to home in a lot of ways

I'm very upset at the friend, and disappointed but understanding with my partner. Friend in this scenario also apparently drank themself to puking. I wasn't there and if there's another get together it seems I need to chaperone

Those boundaries are a serious topic because of the past. It's not a "never ever again" for drinking but it's been a nix on that specific alcohol. But sentiments are complicated

I do need to go to sleep, I'm exhausted. At this point I'm just worried for them. They're in the safest place they can be (given the circumstances), but it's hard sleeping with this on my mind

It's a lot to process for sure. Anger off the bat won't help, but I'll be here waiting for them and willing to listen and support when they return

What I'll do for self care is put on boring tech videos and see what tomorrow brings

I truly appreciate it. We've talked a bit and I'm no longer feeling concerned. Thoughts received!

It was and it was horrible. Horses have been, and still are, incredibly mistreated and it's sickening some practices that are still allowed today

:( indeed

This is cool! It's a great breakdown and i can connect emotionally with a couple of those

The disgust and joy reminds me of when I worked in a warehouse cleaning totes that went to stores, sat around in who-knows-what conditions, and eventually made their way back to us. We found indescribable masses, piss, shit, inch thick layers of dead bugs because they were kept under the bug-light (they have a slightly nutty and roasted taste. Wouldn't be too unpleasant if it hadn't been a mouth and nose full of bug dust when I lifted up the tote above it) and whenever we'd find an exceptionally nasty thing, we'd say, "hey this is so nasty; wanna see/smell it?!" And invariably coworkers would go "yeah!" and have the same face as the meme when seeing/smelling said nastiness. It was so fun, us humans are so weird

The other one tears at my heartstrings is devastated. That is the same face my kiddo made when they misunderstood me and thought I was leaving again to go back to work right after I had gotten home and that look will haunt me forever. Absolutely gut wrenching memory

You got a down vote (not from me and not that it matters)

you're absolutely correct on all counts

Hell yeah they are

This was my office for a couple years until it was retired (and scrapped). My boi 12. It's a crown narrow aisle reach. We max out going up a little over 9 meters or 30 feet

The crazy thing about these guys is how precisely they handle whilst being 5 tons or 4.5 tonnes

One of the best aspects of getting to train people on how to drive our machines is I get to watch them in action and it's mesmerizing. The forklifts I mean; there's so many parts moving together and it has to be with precision and grace or things can go south pretty quickly

I could go on for days. Why do you think forklifts are amazing?
