Recently started reading The Lives of Others by Neel Mukherjee. Trying to read authors from all around the world and this is my India book. Wild family saga that gets into history, traditional vs modern culture and religion, class politics. Really enjoying it so far.
Also listening to the audiobook of The Scar by China Miéville.
The article is counting news and magazines but not social posts. They actually say social posts are part of problem.
just about finished my current library read The Divinity Student by Michael Cisco. really enjoying the prose and imagery of this gothic horror novella. definitely want to see if i can get a physical copy of this edition with art by Harry Morris.

There are a lot of different versions, just like with any mythology, and things lost in translation. I think it's honestly down to your preference. I prefer NIV, but that's just me. I cannot stand the King James.
can confirm it goes downhill. haven't seen the show but the first book is pretty good. the second was way less interesting to me and made me not want to bother with the third. stopped caring about what happens to the characters.
