But I don't think Max his incidents in the last couple of seasons have been due to a lack of spatial awareness. I think he has tons of it. He's just more agressive, and even the agressiveness has gone down a lot since he won his first title.

At some point F1 just has to take a hard stance and state the teams don't have the final say in this matter. Sure they might threaten to split off into their own league again, we have seen that before. This kind of power by the teams is not healthy.

It seems that it doesn't override the setting "Allow messages only from people you follow" if you had it configured like this, which IRC was the previous default. So I don't really see the issue with this tbh.
