my mistake, thanks
@sh.itjust.works
Thank you I will check on it!
Also IMO a wall of machine translated text isn’t that helpful. English is one of the most common second languages already, but if someone wants a machine translation in a different language, they are likely to do so using their preferred tool. This post is just kinda cluttered
Won't do it next time
Yes, I’ve come across that controller, but I’m looking for a more polished solution — something I can purchase and use out of the box. I don’t require open-source hardware; I’m only interested in open-source software.
I see. What do you think about this mod? It seems to disable all telemetry (for now).
Wouldn’t I miss out on some of the controller’s features if I don’t use the official software? That’s why I’m looking for a controller that have open-source software that I can safely install on my computer and use to explore all the features.
I am using fabric, I think paper don't support mods. But fabric still uses Minecraft server from Mojang and I don't know how to block everything it wants to connect but allow everything fabric itself wants to connect
You might have better luck blocking it at the network level. The downside of that is, depending on what is being sent over the network and why, it may no longer work. If you have to punch holes in it for server access, for example, now you no longer have any guarantee that the server port will not start collecting and sending telemetry that way. You also have no guarantee any server you connect to isn’t also gathering and sending telemetry if it has network access to that port.
I think this is the way. But what domain to block?
I have no microsoft account requirements.
Found this https://modrinth.com/mod/no-telemetry
Is this enough to block telemetry on both official server and client? Are there any better third party options (servers or clients)?
thanks for using Leebra!
