Ed Ziltron has a good piece regarding whether the losses are “just another startup” or something more. I am very much leaning towards “burning money at an insane rate just to give the impression of growth”.

In wood yes. But please keep them off my bike. You suddenly really start to enjoy the ball end of your Allen keys when working in tight spots and torx has none of that (and some brand are starting to use more and more torx on their models)
Although you do have a point, the school could as likely have contracted a third party to do the deployment, and cut ties fast as soon as things went awry. Then the last part seems reasonable, although embellished.
I dunno, been seeing quite a few posts from https://indieweb.social/@web3isgreat that do kind of give a bad impression…
Although I agree medication is certainly not needed if your QOL is fine, it is still the best moment to find out what type/dose/brand works best for you. Life can quickly take some unexpected turns and finding the right medication takes a while, as well as the process generally not being the most comfortable if you don’t get lucky on the first try. Knowing if, and what kind of, meditation works for you could come in handy when problems start piling up.
So you can have your high speed trains run to more remote stations, limiting the amount of changes for passengers. Took the train to Grenoble that way, which is quite comfortable with a direct connection from Paris.
There is a link to the article without paywall somewhere in the comments, but yes, the image is a wrong one (or actually a real, non electric mtb fatbike). The “fatbikes” we have here in the Netherlands look like this:

I’d like to point you to this excellent video by Technology Connections.
They do have to run servers in order to keep the service alive. If you want to run this stuff yourself on your own server that’s possible using PyPush. The reason they have to run those servers for you is to keep the notification service alive.
Thank you for this. I understand your point, learned a few things and admire your energy. I hope your frustrations are superficial and don’t impact your general mental well being… Cheers :)
In NL/BE it’s so bad that most settled bike shops won’t even plan your repair if the bike was not bought at that store. Why? Because there’s still more then enough work with only your own customers.
So you’d ask yourself, why don’t repair only places open? Because the knowledge required to start fixing bikes has evolved a lot with the multitude of e-bike systems, and moreover people already find the repair prices too expensive when the costs are slightly subsidized by the people buying bikes at the shop.
No starlink is bad. It’s currently deorbiting 1-2 satellites a day, which means half a ton of aluminum and other metals burnt up in the atmosphere. Current ambition mean they will need to start deorbiting 3-5 satellites per day.
We don’t know yet what ecological impact this will have. But I’m having a hard time accepting such wasteful energy and material consumption.
Well, we could also stop adding a certain percentage of biofuel to our cars. The land that we gain from that, if covered by solar panels, would produce enough energy to cover all our energy demand.
Well. It’s more that a rim will almost never fail in this way when overpressuring your tires (the sides are more likely to fail) and 4.5 bar is nowhere close to overpressure for an aluminum ryde rim. Salt can corrode aluminum yes. A more common occurrence is people riding their bike on a hometrainer and the handlebars breaking due to the corrosion caused by the sweat from their hands.
thanks for using Leebra!
