This is EXACTLY what they voted for. Congratulations! 🎊

Shameful. I have kids that I wouldn't feel safe sending to these institutions even though they are American citizens.

Did Cornell work with Trump on this?

Unis confirmed/likely working with ICE:

• Columbia University - (I heard is run by a banker, instead of an academic and is chasing easy $$): betrayed their students (more than one)
• New College of Florida - fired a Professor over skin color/race (wouldn't ever consider Florida anyway). Per commenter below, it was the proving ground with Chris Rufo
• Yale - 3 Professors fled Yale Interview with one of them

Unis that claimed didn't work with ICE:

• Minnesota State University-Mankato - Student disappeared, uni says they didn't give ICE any info, unrelated to protests, no reason given
• Tufts University - claimed didn't work with ICE, student disappeared by ICE

Maybe different reason?

• Indiana University - Admin has been taken over by MAGA, they disappeared a cybersecurity professor
• UIUC - Had multiple students charged with mob action before the election. Possible theory: maybe political pressure by alumni, Isreal, or democratic party (see below comment for more)

Wonder what other institutions of higher thinking/learning will be next to capitulate...

It's heart-warming to see people donating $27s for his 27th birthday today (I didn't know till I saw those comments).

Woman here who gets approached from time to time… casual chats are fine and low-key expressing interest is ok. The least stressful approaches I’ve had are when a guy sends his buddy over to expression interest. So you can appease your parents by asking a friend to make the approach on your behalf, maybe.

Thanks adding to the list and I just found the article on Yale. Will add that to my list to my... unsafe/unprincipled schools for future students.

Yass... I woke up today and that's the first thought that popped into my head. With clowns running the world and their demented jokes as reality... nothing is funny anymore.

Just started a small monthly donation. I’ll up it, if I use lemmy more, but I appreciate its existence. Thank you Devs for your contribution.

🤮

Thank you! Added. Crazy... I remember now reading about that one too. sigh

Watched it..

ah true, that's a possibility

Ty! Added!

Wow. I never knew that there's a guide like that. It's really helpful. Thank you!! It looks like I am in-range of the channel I want. (I'm trying to watch local basketball games.)

Your antenna looks serious. Over a decade ago, I had something similar to what Wirecutter linked. I'll do some more research and see if I'll get one of those, or get yours. I'm really excited to see the new coach and players this season, and how they do.

This is great info to get me started. Thank you!

Booster! That's great advice. I never thought about that possibility. I'll look for one with a booster, and if that fails, I'll do the external as you advised (have to keep it discreet so I don't get in trouble with HOA). Ty!

Wow, thank you for this. I'm not feeling so good about having moved to Proton now. I'll check out Mailbox.org and look more into Mozilla too.

Wow. Added. Not sure which category, so I put it under "maybe different reason" one.

Wow. I’m a new Proton subscriber. This happened? Can you share a link or more details? Feeling disappointed, thought I found a good solution away from Google. Maybe I’ll look into Mozilla mail instead after my sub ends.

Absolutely.

Ah, yeah sounds like a real possibility. Thanks for sharing. Will add it.

Hi! I am new to the fediverse. Trying to leave reddit, instagram and etc behind. I would like to remove my instagram feed off my wordpress website and replace it with pixelfed, similar situation to OP. Would also love to be able to have it display 6 latest posts. I can't find any info on how to do that.
