@GatoB I'm trying to make the best effort I can, I started a London community at feddit.uk/c/london and been making content for it and cross posting whatever I come across that could work there. So far I gotten around roughly 50 subscribers and some engagement in my posts. I'm reaching out for engagement so if you want to join in and make this something I'd really appreciate it.

... Or if you want to lurk I'm good with that too, I'd appreciate the eyes more then anything at this point.

@pheen I never saw how a service like Reddit should look to advertisers as way to self sustain itself. Wikipedia has paved the way for a community sustained crowdsourced model.

I love how connected this Lemmy is to Mastodon, I didn't even realize this would show up there. If you have a Mastodon account and you wanted to post directly here just include "@london" (hover over to see full context) when making your post.

@TedWard @unitedkingdom Nice! Hopefully Mastodon can be a viable way to both explore and interact Lemmy for people who would prefer that.

Just tried this myself with my Mastodon and can confirm that I can reply to you!

Usually if Kier Starmer says something a U-turn is not too far behind.

Yeah, I don't have any milk allergies but it sucks that people had an option they relied on for allergy free substitutes taken away.

@Vinnyboiler@feddit.uk I'm testing replying with my mastodon account to see if it will show up on in the comments. Now I'm testing an edit.

Oh do you have the name of the place? I wouldn't mind trying that.

Seems like a nice place to go sightseeing. I love how London has both 14th century architecture and one of more well known examples of Brutalist architecture just right near to each other like that.

I would personally consider it reckless driving. Bike users have to more careful on the road to compensate for cars, you simply can't break the rules yourself unless you don't value your own health.
