I was thinking the same thing, it's counterintuitive to the whole point of Lemmy lol
@lemmy.world
I was thinking the same thing, it's counterintuitive to the whole point of Lemmy lol
Yeah but if it doesn't help me then it's bullshit and is a waste of time. Why is the main focus of government and society not to make my singular life better? It's bullshit.
/s obviously lol
343 has never been good at managing a Halo game. Not sure what OP is referring to specifically but 343 has made tons of awful decisions with the franchise. One thing that always bothered me with infinite is from what I remember the game has an enormous amount of tech debt because Microsoft loves to hire temporary contract workers so by the time a new contractor was hired and brought up to speed on the new engine they were developing/had developed, they barely had time to do much before having to be replaced with another contractor, which makes me feel awful for the poor developers hired on these temp contracts.

Yeah I understand that duplicates will pop up from different people, just found it weird that they would create 2 separate ones themselves. It's hard to find which one to join when both are similar levels of active and I don't love the idea of having to subscribe to both and go to both if I want to see what's being posted. I assumed it was unfamiliarity with how the instances worked but didn't think about seeing if kbin or lemmy would end up being more popular, that does makes sense.
I still can't believe some of the shortcuts they took to build this thing, the viewport being rated for only about 1300 meters when they were going down 4000 is INSANE
I have absolutely no intention of using Threads (for obvious reasons: meta data collection), but I'm interested to see if it can push the fediverse into mainstream conversation. I basically only used twitter for sports news so if those reporters end up on Threads and I can follow them from Mastodon I wouldn't mind. Of course none of that matters if it's not on ActivityPub like it's rumored to be, or if they implement any kind of restrictions to users not on their instance, like following users or liking posts.
Pyle is hilarious, I remember when he first started with those alien comics. His shit really fits my sense of humor lol
Yup, the one I'm I guess a little surprised about is Nargeolet after reading about the passengers.
Nargeolet’s family confirmed to CNN affiliate BFMTV that he was aboard the vessel.
The diver has decades of experience exploring the Titanic. He serves as the director of underwater research at RMS Titanic Inc., the company that has exclusive rights to salvage artifacts from the ship.
According to his biography on the company’s website, Nargeolet completed 35 dives to the Titanic wreck and supervised the recovery of 5,000 artifacts.
So I guess he was supposed to be like a tour guide or something almost? You would think he would know enough after 35 trips to see how hanky that sub was
We kept being told this was coming so I'm not really surprised except maybe for McShay
This is what introduced me to the scale years ago lol

yeah even if I don't agree with their reasoning I'd always prefer them telling us it's happening than having to find out like this
It's actually kind of impressive how stupid they have to be that they saw what happened to Ridley and then go out and do the exact same thing lol I'm dying to know who the player was that lost $8M
this really is a great time right now. One month break and there is quite a bit of reveals that have happened since Wano
Any guesses on what they are referring to here:
we’re making an Exotic catalyst for an older Exotic weapon in S22, and this is one that’s been heavily requested, and is likely the most complex catalyst we’ve ever made.
I've been trying out the same ones as you, haven't heard of wefwef so I'll give that a try. Although I think liftoff is my least favorite. Memmy seems to have the best performance for me. I also really like Thunder, definitely recommend trying that one out if you haven't
Wow some actual HC love, it's been too long. Still wish they would just revert the Shadowkeep crit nerf
agreed, it definitely feels like the live game has been run by a skeleton crew for a bit of time now. Like we all knew crucible was basically being ignored by bungie because of the PvP game they were working on (Marathon apparently), but I didn't expect the live service to take this big of a step back. They can barely keep the game running right now with all the error code issues and down time we are getting.
I'm really excited for this. Hard Knocks has been pretty meh recently, although the Lions were good last year. I like the Jets in house production, One Jets Drive, a lot but it's basically team propaganda so I'm looking forward to seeing HBO's perspective. I'm biased obviously because I'm a Jets fan but the 2010 season with Rex was the best season of Hard Knocks ever IMO, and coincidentally the last time the Jets made the playoffs lol
Tbh I really don't understand the distraction argument. They were already going to be one of the most m3dia covered teams in the league no matter what and they already have cameras on them the entire time they're at the facility for the 1JD productions. Also the Jets are the most successful team to ever be on hard knocks making it to the AFC championship last time. I really really doubt that if the season ends up falling short it will because we were on hard knocks back in August.
thanks for using Leebra!
