We might want to encourage people to stop using the term "sideloading" and instead say "installing" because that's what it is; using a different term for it makes it seem unordinary and unintended.
Passkeys themselves are a very good security measure, better than a password plus 2FA via TOTP apps.
But having your passkey tied to a specific device with a specific operating system or an untrustworthy provider like Google, Microsoft, or Apple is not a good idea. You should avoid those and try to use a hardware key with passkey support or a password manager instead.
Lets be real, NordVPN has done so many shady things themselve (fake limited time discount on their website which is illegal in many regions of the world), no one who knows about these and cares about data protection and privacy would use it anyway.
But nice that they add some pressure ig.
LibreWolf won't be impacted, they're already considering to move to Phoenix instead.

LibreWolf issue: https://codeberg.org/librewolf/issues/issues/2823
Phoenix is also used by IronFox.
Phoenix is also an alternative which can be used with Vanilla Firefox.
Since the author edited the title, Phoenix, according to the credits does not rely on Arkenfox at all.
I must say that Mental Outlaw is known for using the wrong terminology, for example calling closed-source software "spyware", which bothers everyone who works in the cybersecurity industry because this is blatantly wrong. I assume it's the same story with this supposed "backdoor".
Yes, it is most likely illegal.
It's developed by singular person as you read in their FAQ: "Donut Browser is built by one person with the goal of making the internet a little more private. Paid plans are how commercial users support the project and keep it sustainable."
Which is concerning.
It also promotes illegal practices as it can be seen here: https://donutbrowser.com/use-cases/automation/
I wouldn't recommend it.
Please avoid using the term "custom ROM", use preferably "Android Distribution" (is also the term used by LineageOS themselve) as ROM is inaccurate technically speaking.

You shouldn't be using it under any of its domains:

(Referring to the abuse of its website's users to DDoS another website and falsifying archived websites)
Some people can't tell the difference between a search engine and a browser. Some people don't know how to install software, and use whatever they got. Some people don't know better.
Them losing access to a tool like uBlock Origin, with the only alternatives being weaker options, is harmful.
I know of people experiencing blockage because they use uBOL, uBO was more effective at bypassing those blocks I assume.
That doesn't work under the GDPR. It must meet the conditions for consent, locking users out of a service by requiring unnecessary data collection is illegal. Please don't spread misinformation.
See: Art. 7(4) GDPR
Posteo is a very legitimate email provider based in Germany. Your bank is really stupid for flagging and rejecting it, their is absolutely nothing about them that should trigger their systems.
An alternative would be Mailbox, it's very similar to Posteo and I have made good experiences with it.
Why did you switch away from Proton? Most drama surrounding it is very overblown and the consequences of being a large company, not everyone always does everything right who works for them.
thanks for using Leebra!
