I had a similar set of criteria to you. I settled on the Epson Ecotank. No complaints so far. It has wifi but I never turned that on, I connect it to my (linux) laptop with a USB cable.

Some printers are programmed to stop working after a certain number of prints. I hope this isn't one of them.

My take on this is that the initial post was innocent. The followup was tongue in cheek.

I travel a lot and used airbnb for a year or so during their heyday, I greatly preferred them to hotels. I would never go back to them now though. Ever since they started going crazy with the fees and chores, I prefer hotels where you know what you're getting.

I am still using Jerboa. It's better than before, but still has glitches. I am sticking with it to spite myself.

Do you have an email address associated with your account? I created my reddit account before email addresses were required. A couple weeks ago I received a site wide ban for unspecified reasons. On the main web site it just said that I had a permanent ban. But on old.reddit.com, it says "provide an email address to reactivate your account". So in my case the purpose of the ban was simply to force me to give them my email address, which I declined to do.

I came to lemmy.world hoping to create a community to replace my favorite subreddit. I found that the community had already been created but, like you describe - no logo, no sidebar. Also, as you describe, the moderator of that community had reserved multiple other communities. I began posting to the community in the hopes of generating activity, and I messaged the mod offering to help with moderation. The mod did not respond, so I messaged ruud to say that this mod appeared to be squatting on the community name - I pointed out that the mod had created neither logo nor sidebar. ruud contacted the mod, who immediately banned me from the community. The mod filled out the sidebar (a copy/paste from the reddit sidebar), this was obviously only in response to the concerns that I had raised. The community otherwise remains dormant and the mod is not actively maintaining it. Very frustrating. It is exactly because of this kind of nonsense that I looked for an alternative to reddit but it seems that lemmy is no better.
