Btw, that user has also requested deletion of !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com on lemm.ee and it is in consideration. If this is the reason for your switch, I'd wait for their action.

It's usually the water that makes people sick. When people from third world countries move to first world countries and live there for a couple of years, they will get sick too when they revisit their home country.

It doesn't support Android Auto, right? That's what's holding me back from installing it.

Their cost benefit analysis seems short-sighted. Having a chip wouldn't be too expensive as even a Nest Mini has it. Just increase the price by $25 but provide that functionality imo.

Streamio with Torrentio add on + a Debrid service is all you need.

Is the instance admin able to view posts/messages of private accounts like they can do on Lemmy?

Are there any major daily driver features from Android missing here? Also are the updates usually stable?

Love it. Question: Does Photon not support opening communities link within the web app? When I click on the Photon community link in the post, it takes me to the instance lemmy.xylight.dev page

Thanks for the reply and stating your position. I'd understand deletion if you were served a legal notice for a post/comments.

How to find the available bots and their instructions on the botsin.space?

They can already do it by running a simple web scraper or running an anonymous instance that federates with everyone in disguise

Love it, as my feed can get fresh items when I check Lemmy frequently.

However, I have noticed that once a post is hidden there's no way to get it to be displayed back on the app. The "hide read" functionality hid this post once it was read but to give this feedback I had to go to your profile @aeharding@lemmy.world and find the post again. Am I missing something?

Why would the app installation be slow? Do they create sandbox for each app?

I share your experience but unfortunately don't have answers

I have the same thoughts as you. The advertising seems something like what r/theonion might have.

Yup, you have a good point with the third party advertisers not following GDPR. And I agree that the privacy policy should be as transparent as possible.

No, won't sign up on that privacy nightmare. Though, once it does support ActivityPub, I'll probably follow people who are not on Mastodon yet.

That seems as a weird decision by Firefox considering their relatively privacy focused image.
