Value proposition isn’t there anymore either, airbnbs used to be super affordable but now match the price of hotels and if they don’t are in inconvenient locations.

Not to mention the impact it has on local housing supply and pricing.

I think the dump truck full of cash convinced him otherwise

Skilled Vs unskilled labor is just capitalistic bullshit to pin the working class against each other. All labor takes skill and should be respected

Loved Mr Robot, but I think most of the genius of that show came from Sam Esmail. One of the biggest drivers for that show was an air of mystery and intrigue which Secret Invasion doesn’t have at all. Instead of showing skrulls impersonating people from the first episode, they should’ve literally not shown a single skrull until episode 5 to make you question who is and isn’t a skrull. On top of that, having both the skrull and non-skrull versions of the characters out and about would be great for driving speculation, intrigue, buzz, etc. Trying to figure out why there’s inconsistency in how characters act and interact with each other could’ve made it a much more engaging show but Marvel really dumbed it down.

Wow hard to imagine that after the deadliest war in human history at the time that people would be hesitant to kill others in peacetime.

Also in countries without easy access to guns but with high levels of gun control and thriving black markets (like Mexico) they experience a fraction of school shootings compared to the us. That’s without even taking into account the sheer material differences between the two countries, with Mexico having a significantly higher poverty rate compared to the us.

Not only is this a unpopular opinion, it’s also a fucking stupid one too.

19 Countries with the Most School Shootings (total incidents Jan 2009-May 2018 - CNN):

United States — 288 Mexico — 8

Gun control in Mexico:

Mexico has extremely restrictive laws regarding gun possession. There are only two stores in the entire country, DCAM near the capital, and OTCA, in Apodaca, Nuevo León. It also takes months of paperwork to have a chance at purchasing one legally.

Leeja Miller’s channel is great in general, she started with a bit more ambiguous political positioning but here more recent videos have a much more apparent leftist bent

Watched it a few days ago, honestly it wasn’t as bad as the box office would make you believe. Some thoughts:

• the CGI was really quite bad for such a big budget movie
• I’m a sucker for flashpoint type movies, which definitely made me more biased towards it
• I’m starting to get really tired of multiverse cameo heavy movies like this (including across the spiderverse)
• Kara wasn’t as compelling as I’d hoped
• Ezra Miller is a garbage human being

Overall I did enjoy it for the most part, it coukdbr been better but given DC’s track record this was actually in the top 25% of dc projects

This was my first time i trying out hard mode, took a few attempts to figure out what nerfs were best for it, luckily i got the hang of it haha

Even though the NACS plug is superior to CCS in terms of ergonomics, I feel like this side steps the issue here— the plug isn’t the problem, the charging infrastructure is. If NACS plus show up everywhere but are as reliable as EA, it will only make people question whether or not there’s ANY reliable charging infrastructure. Imagine: “I heard Tesla chargers are reliable, this charger has a Tesla plug but it can’t get it to charge! Oh well, guess the charging infra isn’t there yet.“

Good point, it was too tempting to consider. Running a m1 or m2 mini seems like a better idea, but the allure of that much hardware for the price was too much to pass up

The month after I switch over to Apple Music 😩

I’m crossing my fingers for a ranked arena mode but glad the versus players are getting some love

that was skootie’s explanation for this pack, make it easy to roll for sloth and then hopefully later in the week there would be enough sloths in the pool that you would be able to anglerfish it

Round 28 YEEESH good job!! First sloth achievement on this community!

So no oyster + tapir + mushroom + pill? I’ll give that a shot next

Probably? The only thing that could potentially be a hold up would be the critical mineral and battery sourcing bit, but from a cursory google search it seems like rivian sources batteries from SK so that should be fine
