Really makes you think about why Hamas is so radicalized, doesn't it? It's not like you can pull a Muslim out of a hat and radicalize them. People in a stable, healthy, and fair socioeconomic position do not see violence as an answer. People who live under constant oppression, inequality, and fear do.

People want revolutionaries under constant oppression and inequality to fight a "fair, modern war" against one of the most well-funded militaries in the region.

Are people stupid? Palestine, unlike Ukraine, doesn't have the privilege of fighting an equal war.

Sounds like it's a problem that could be unilaterally solved by the US limiting military aid to Israel instead of propping up a genocidal regime. It's not Russia's fault that US foreign policy led to their support of genocidal maniacs.

What do people say about Russia and China? That the government and the people are different entities? The same applies here. Not supporting the absolutely batshit crazy Israeli government does not indicate a lack of support for the Jewish people.

Because the last time Gazans tried a peaceful protest, thousands of people got shot by the Zionist regime: https://www.ohchr.org/...

Because Palestine cannot win a conventional war against Israel.

Because Palestine cannot let the status quo continue to oppress them, because the status quo is itself encroaching on Palestinian land and Palestinian rights.

Do you have a better solution? These attacks have caused a massive flight of people from Israel, have forced the Bank of Israel to take very aggressive action to avoid the collapse of the shekel, have mobilized the countries bordering Israel, and have indicated that Palestinian resistance is not hopeless.

Hamas as a group only exists because of decades of oppression by the Zionist regime. Eradication of Hamas will not lead to eradication of attacks on Israel because the people of Palestine want revolution and cannot let the status quo continue: it's just a question of when and how.

You can't kill this hydra without ending the life of every Palestinian in Gaza.

In general, revolutionary groups are formed as a product of circumstance: the American Revolution by British oppression, the French Revolution by Bourbon oppression, the Russian Revolution by Tsarist oppression, and the Chinese Revolution by Ming oppression. You can't have revolution without oppression and oppression will, by nature, lead to revolution.

Palestinians have the right to revolution just like the Americans, French, and Chinese did. That revolution might be bloody, but the fight for sovereignty and equality is rarely peaceful.

I can't think of a single successful revolution that didn't end up with significant civilian casualties. Revolutions only arise because of extreme discontent among a population about their socioeconomic position.

Remember the Reign of Terror in France? Washington's campaign against the Iroquois in America? Revolution is bloody and revolution leads to civilian casualties, but at its core it's caused by systematic oppression by the government and inaction on behalf of the population.

By the way, Gazans have tried peaceful protest. It got thousands of people shot.

I too enjoy conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Both Jews and Palestinians are semites, dumbass.

Russia's already pumping less than they have in decades and has been progressively cutting production. Odd way of making more money.

Calling this a religious war completely misses the socioeconomic context. Palestine is extremely poor, but they've also been systematically oppressed, had their homes stolen from them, had their rights ripped away, and are treated as basically subhuman.

Religion is the power that's organizing revolutionaries, but it's not the power that's creating revolutionaries.

Revolutionary groups are almost always operating from a severe disadvantage. They lack the resources of the regime that oppresses them.

You should ask yourself why revolutionaries feel that extremism is the solution. Is it maybe because peaceful protest leads to Zionist forces opening fire on unarmed civilians? Maybe it's because losses in this drawn out conflict have disproportionately affected Palestinians?
