I hope you're right, sounds quite exciting!
Could you describe what "webrings" were? I've read about them in a similar thread, but couldn't find any info on them.

Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun

It's ok, we're all gonna die.

I am intrigued about this whole UAP whistleblower guy named David Grusch.
Is it Psyops, confused officials, a business model (to sell books, speak on conferences)?

Thanks. I now realized, how I came to that conclusion: Last time this was discussed the person called it "link ring" and that didn't not yield any reasonable results.

Edit: And because notifications for comment replies are deactivated by default I didn't even notice the person has corrected their wording. Still learning how to kbin :).

I could imagine something similar to reddit's multisubreddit feature, whereas in this case it's different magazines/communities from different instances or even services.

Wichtiger Tipp, aber was hat das mit der Stadt zu tun? :D

It's just supposed to add to the hype: tHis AI cAn dEStroY teh woRld!!

Ich bin schon länger im Internet unterwegs, aber kannst erklären, was Linkringe sind/waren? Das sagt mir gar nichts.

kbin fehlt dort noch :)

This is very promising! I loved What remains of Edith Finch, Stray and Outer Wilds. Excited to see what they are doing with Blade Runner

You just added a couple more games to my backlog. Thanks! :)

Und man kann dort günstige Personalausweisfotos machen lassen.

Weirdly enough, there is no actual buzz yet, from my point of view. The claims are quite crazy, and mainstream media has only reported hesitantly if not ignored the recent developments so far.
So while I understand your general stance, I would agree more with the article in that "something" is going on that is worth looking at, without coming to early conclusions. No matter the outcome, it can potentially teach us a lot about how these involved organizations/entities work.

I came back to gaming after PS1 during the end of the PS4 era and the first bigger title I played was The Last of Us Remake. I was blown away by the production value. In case you're looking for something "less chill" after Stray I can only recommend it.
I also liked Stray! How do you like it so far?

People are shitting on Germans public broadcasting and its fee a lot and there have been a couple of actual scandals, but all in all the news and investigative pieces they produce are so important.

Are they though?

Could you please link this list? Asking for a friend.

But wouldn't the be easier ways to distract?
