During a recent interview, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said that America had “never been a racist country.” The Onion asked Americans why our history has always been color-blind, and this is what they said.

I've heard "why can't these people just get their shit together? Their land was taken hundreds of years ago!" Meanwhile the mentally ill 40 year old native guy down the street was raped and abused in residential schools, and was taken from his family and community.

Too many Canadians think the trauma inflicted on first Nations people happened a long time ago and wonder why they're so fucked up to this day. They don't realize this residential school shit JUST ended and the anti first nations racism is still rampant
