A Toronto police car hopped the curb and crashed into a light pole which crashed down nearly hitting a pedestrian.

I think they meant to say "Narrowly avoiding injuring a pedestrian", but that's really bad proofreading.

I read the other comment about the UCF/UFC mix-up (after reading up what each was - dunno if those sports reach the UK) and... Nah, they're just stupid.
