That is a great photo!
Wow very nice!

Great photo
You're strength is admirable.
Keep it real Sister.
Ain't no thing.
Glad you are there ok. First day never goes to plan for me. If you are there and get a rest that's a win!
Agreed , the day you land doesn't count it's just part of travel
the first day is getting your bearings and making sure you have your stuff and are where you're supposed to be, also looking around while you do your stuff and seeing if anything catches your eye that you can visit later
We're regulars at a Vietnamese restaurant in Footscray. Been going there for years.
Waitress asked us for a photo today as they have a wall out back of customers who get special discounts and freebies.
They're so sweet.
I survived the night shift and got some good sleeping in today, ready to go again tonight 🙂
It's amazing to see the amount of effort put in by volunteers all over the state (and from interstate) in harrowing and dangerous conditions. Thousands of people out there willing to put their lives on hold to undertake some of the most arduous work possible, and to keep going back again. Even with the worst of the weather past us there is going to be a lot of work ongoing to bring the fires under control.
Ugh. A marketplace scam I didn’t anticipate: Buyer collects, but then later claims some issue/ reason for a refund while they re-list and on-sell the item. They hope to cash in on getting the refund as well as selling the item.
I’ve reported them. But it’s still very concerning that they have made physical threats. Bloody lowlife.
Yeah. They seemed very comfortable with stooping to threats to try to convince me to refund them. That’s kinda what made me search online if this was a scam.
If you're near springy you're welcome to borrow my large male privilege.
Inner north, so a bit far. Appreciate the offer though!
I’m pinned down and getting tail hugs
I want them to bring back red orange sorbet. It was the best one!
Ooooooh
Bubs was so exhausted from yesterday that she slept through the night. She got up for water but mostly just cuddled.
There's a couple of fires round Altona meadows and point Cook. I opened my window for so fresh air and immediately had to shut it again. Now the air purifier is going OFF!
I just went out for a walk and the smoke smell is strong. The air is foggy with it and the afternoon sun looks more orange than usual
I had to shower and change because my hair and clothes smelled of smoke
yuck. I had that yesterday afternoon, but fortunately today it has all cleared where I am.
I think I’m going to put some music on and build a model
I’m off to the market. Any requests?
Large bunch of tiger lilies and some bananas please.
🐯 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌
Watermelon and cherries please.

Your brie has been gift-wrapped, as a treat
My ear worm today: Beezleboss - Tenacious D
That’s exactly what’s spinning in my head all day and honestly don’t even mind it.
Copped an infection from yesterday's stuff. Antibiotics have kicked in finally.
Been practising a song for about 5 weeks and finally got it down. Here's a phone recording if anyone's interested
Hope you all have a good night :)
I really like that!
I have been listening to the audio book of the ABC of Relativity by Russell until the principles and laws get into my head and I start to imagine the world and my place in it differently.
One thing is it makes me feel so very very tiny in a very very large universe, when Jupiter and Saturn are considered very small then I am what?
12h, I'm so fkn jelly, puff me up.
Some debt place has been texting me for months to pay for 2 COVID tests I needed to pay for back in April. They just sent me their final notice so I'm thinking I still don't pay and see what happens. They haven't done anything but text, and there has been no threat of further escalation.
Part of it is because the tests were done in the name of my 3 year old son. Could it impact him 15 years later if he defaulted on a debt when he was a child?
I don't think that's how debt works here, like a debt incurred under a child's name cannot be claimed when they become an adult.
If the debt is in the name of a child, then they cannot collect I'm pretty sure. Like they can't speak to them to verify identity or anything, and a child has no ability to pay.
Edited: It could maybe become a problem. I don’t know.
It probably wouldn’t be binding on a minor
But debt collectors might want to try and make you pay. Sometimes they can still try to reclaim a debt less than 15 years old rather than 6, so depending on timing it could remain just within that period once your son is 18 (potentially with interest) and in the meantime they could still try to take you to court.
Debt collectors have rules about what they can do but are allowed to be persistent and in some cases are allowed to come to your home or seize assets.

IANAL and have no idea of the real risk of doing this. But I don’t like anything I see, I don’t mess around about debt. Definitely speak to a financial advice place to ask about the legalities if you try to let the debt expire. Personally for peace of mind I’d just pay it
Kind of considering trying to find the recipe for those Italian lemon cookies I made in home ec decades ago. But they were a traditional recipe that used lard… I don’t know if shops still sell lard. Or if they would sit well with me.
Plus I’d have to shop. And clean the kitchen before and after.
I am bored out of my mind but physically feel like I got hit by a bus
You can definitely still buy lard.
Cookies are the sort of thing you can make a bit at a time, you don't have to do everything in one go. So you could write an ingredients list for when you have the energy to shop next, then when you have the ingredients you can measure out an ingredient or two at a time when you have the energy, then mix the dough and put it in the fridge until you have the energy to shape it etc.
That’s a good idea, pacing is the way.
might have been these ones????
No lard. Dough is very forgiving as long as you use 00 (cake) flour NOT bread flour.
Maybe? I seem to remember a thin lemon icing glaze that dried hard and glossy, and they may or may not have been shaped as knots. It was a long time ago.
But I do remember they absolutely used lard, I remember the thick white fat and faint smell. I could use butter but dairy.
I don’t have either 00 or bread flour, anything I make is generic general purpose flour. It’s not great but reasons of budget and waste (can use it for multiple things)
General purpose would do, but the bikkies would be a bit crisper and not as melting tender.
That’s ok, a lot of my stuff does trade off a bit for economy or efficiency
Maybe, and I’ve seen coconut oil listed as a substitute… I also wonder how standard margarine would go >_>
Bacon & eggs on toast please chef.
Are the tea and crumpets in the room with us now?
Eggplant parma with chips and a beer please
