Separation of church and state isn’t just good for non-religious citizens, it’s good for the church too. Evangelical Christianity will forever be associated with Trumpism. Good luck evangelizing with that brand. And Catholics are seeing what it’s like to have an administration that feels entitled to their loyalty.
