LemmyNZ Logo update vote [Cancelling for now]

5 months ago by Dave to c/support

Hi all! We've had the crappy logo since LemmyNZ started, and I've had on my list to update it. With a bit of discussion in the weekly chats, I now have a proposed replacement.

Please vote on the new logo to see if we will adopt it as the LemmyNZ logo.

I voted for the existing logo....laser kiwi is awesome.

I wish now that I'd split the logo and banner instead of voting for them together. Do you actually like this AI generated abomination that I created when genAI was new and the instance had no other users?

Or is it the laser kiwi banner that you like?

laser kiwi flag from NZ flag competition with drawn kiwi with green laser coming out of it's eyes and silver fern in top left

I am thinking we should drum up some extra options then vote on logo and banner separately. I wasn't expecting this much input given the last few times I've mentioned it haven't led to much interest outside a small group of people, so have cancelled the vote for now (even though the new logo/banner are winning, it's not by much)

I hope you're volunteering to make them! I've asked a few times in the past and had no volunteers.

Hi all, I am cancelling this for now. We've had lots of votes and it's not very clear cut between the options. I wasn't expecting this much interest, so will take a step back and try to do this process a bit better.
